Hi
At 107,000 miles, with the stock tune.
I just got a P0234 code taking off at WOT from the dealership parking lot :cwl:
My only mod is a recently installed MBRP Street catback exhaust...
The computer dialed me back, hard. I can't make more than 5 PSI boost now.
Question 1: what causes...
Only if it's a Performance Package vehicle (unless someone modded it). PP cars have oil pressure and boost gauges in the center console (replacing one of the three "eyeball" HVAC vents), and fake brushed carbon fiber on the dash inset...
Had it towed home(AAA), taking it to the local tire shop on Monday (who quoted me a much better price), sourcing a rebuilt alternator. I trust these people, worked on lots of my cars before...
Dealer's saying it's the alternator, and is quoting me over 1 grand to repair it. I told them that's a hell no diagnosis. Anyone know it it would be possible to spill oil into the alternator via carelessness?
Hi,
100% stock car.
Just took it in for an oil change. When the lot attendant drove my car out, I smelled an acrid smell (burning electronics smell). It was after the service department went home, so I elected to drive the car home. Nothing obviously wrong with the car. The smell...
Okay, so I've got a stupid one.
Car is 3.5 years old with 75k miles.
I use my trunk everyday (breifcase).
The courtesy light quit working (you know, the one that's supposed to come on when you open the trunk).
Is it incandescent or LED?
Anyone else had this issue?
Daily driven car....
I put this through Google Translate, and the poster is asking the question "Is my sensor dead now?"
When I've seen the sensor die in my own car, it was reading off scale high, and showing the highest pressure at all times (Lowside Fuel Pressure Actual), with lots of misfires...
Amazing. The best tune they've got is roughly the equivalent of the Ford Performance tune for the Ecoboost...the only thing they've really got on us is AWD and about 300 lbs. less weight...
If you look for the highest mileage thread (not Ecoboost-specific), one guy bought an engineering mule/press test drive car used. It was an ecoboost. He has 112k miles on it (at last count). No issues
Also, the fact that our engine is the old MazdaSpeed 3 engine...that should...
Ford sort of did...the V6 had a 3.55 rear end available for 2015-2016 (not many of those in the wild...). For 2017, the bigger diff was only available on the v6 'vert....
I've heard the Euro Ecoboost cars are basically the same as the US Performance Package, but with a 3.31 axle instead of the 3.55 we get here (carbon tax :crying: ). You get the bigger radiator (necessary for going faster than 120 MPH), plus the GT brakes, and the PP suspension tuning. I'm...
I believe there's an oil pressure sending unit (separate from the low pressure switch, which triggers the low oil pressure light). IIRC, on the Ecoboost, it takes the hole normally occupied by a freeze plug. I believe it is also the same hole in the block used for the engine block heater if...
