Hi please bare with me as English is not my first language and I am not every knowledgeable with cars.

I had an issue with my car where it wasn't filling up the gas tank all the way. The Pump would shut off before the tank is full and I only ever get a quarter full.

Took it to the dealership and they filled it up with regular 87 octane gas when I had it half full with 94 octane. How bad does this affect my engine?

Also I had a check engine light on and they said they just had to reprogram something? Does anyone have any idea what this is?

My car is a 2015 Ecoboost premium standard trans. Has a spanish engine btw.

As long as you aren't tuned, 87(regular) won't harm your car. So no need to stress over that.

If the gas pump stops a lot while filling up your tank, try holding the nozzle either upside down or sideways. Ask me how I know.

As far as the check engine light, you should have asked Ford for more details. Just like the commercial, nobody knows your Ford better than Ford. :)

Money ever get tight, I know exactly what I'm going to pull. lol

I have the same issue... never know when it is really full. Only time it bothers me is when I'm traveling, and even then I'll quickly jump in the car and check the gas hand. No huge deal.

Lower grade gas will decrease your hp... long as you don't have a tune, don't worry about it. Drive it out..

As others have said, running lower octane gas in your ecoboost if it's stock isn't a problem. The knock sensors will detect the lower octane and prevent the car from advancing the timing much, leaving you with less HP. Mixing the gasses isn't a problem either, gas stations only get the low grade (usually 87) and premium (usually 91 or 93). from there, there pump controls mix the fuels to provide other octane amounts in between like 89. Just keep putting the 94 octane in and it will adjust back up. The ECU works all the time adjusting it, that way even if it is just a bad tank of gas, it can protect it.

If you have a pro tune, contact your tuner and be careful.
