  1. Have you blown an engine? If so, what rod (cylinder) failed?

Good morning guys. Happy to say I have my Mustang back after it went Ecoboom. unfortunately Ford kept my aftermarket CAI and never returned it to me. I just realized it yesterday night when I popped the hood an realized the stock airbox was in there. My cylinder 2 was the main reason why it...
  2. Thrown rod, in my ecoboost (pics included)

UPDATE I've agreed to have Ford disassemble the engine to examine it more in depth. It's gonna cost me $1700 to have that done. But if they still refuse. Then I'll look towards my attorney. If I didn't pay for that disassembling of the engine. Then I would have to pay for the new engine, turbo...
  3. Thrown rod, in my ecoboost (pics included)

Not 100% sure yet. But judging by where the hole is and the fact that my number 2 cylinder was giving me problems. I'm going to say it was number 2.

My service advisor during our phone call, I believe mentioned that my warranty should cover it, if it's in my favor.
  5. Thrown rod, in my ecoboost (pics included)

I racked up those miles a lot yes. Best friend and I started a business together. Traveling ended up being an extremely important part of the business. Unfortunately I didn't expect my car to take a poop like this. I highly recommend not getting the ecoboost, for I've read many nightmares about...

I think what I'm trying to get at... Is this car is barley little over a year old. Brand New. 74k miles... It just seems really crazy to me, that it would do this.

A lot of people are saying the tune I had in the past, causes Ford to immediately shun away from even attempting to help , or replace anything to do with the engine. I have an attorney that says differently.

Thanks guys... Sucks not having the car you worked so hard for. Then to have it blow up :( I practically live in my car. The amount I drive, might as well have a pillow and blanket in there.

Livernois was the tune I went with

Whats up guys! So I've had some issues with my 16' Ecoboost mustang when it comes to the cylinder 2 misfire. Well worst came to worst. 2 weeks ago while coming home, my stang decided to throw a rod and blow on me at around 3k RPM, going about 45 mph. (Car has 74k miles on it) Got it towed...
  11. Fuel injector question

No catch can 75k miles Beyond frustrated with this problem
  12. Fuel injector question

Thanks for the replies guys. I have replaced the stock plugs twice. I've swapped coil packs. I've used system cleaner and valve cleaner. I still am receiving little misfires once I accelerate to 3kRPM. After the system cleaner, it ran surprisingly SUPER WELL. But 3 days later it's showing...
  13. False coolant temp

Just dropped it off. They are about to take a look at it. The levels are fine. It's most likely the sensor in my opinion. But we'll see. They literally just took it off my hands
  14. False coolant temp

Just got my coolant flushed and replaced literally an hour ago. Mechanic at the shop told me that my car was showing a "coolant overheat" display on my dash. Needles to say he was right. My coolant temps are PERFECT. 189-190°. Not a degree higher. I'm guessing my coolant temp sensor took a...
  15. Fuel injector question

I have a cylinder 2 misfire on my ecoboost. I've been dealing with it for quite some time now. Does anyone have the OEM part number for a new fuel injector. Also how much does the OEM fuel injector cost? Any help would be awesome! Thanks!
  16. Error codes help!!

We swapped coil packs 2 & 3 (cylinder 2 has misfire). But still I'm getting "cylinder 2 misfire", and "misfire on startup 1000 revolutions" It was running like new the day after we regapped the new spark plugs, and cleaned the valves with the spray. But yesterday it went right back to normal...
  17. Error codes help!!

FIXED TEMPORARILY... So I used a valve / turbo cleaner spray that I saw on Ford YouTube channel. (I read later that you shouldn't use it, but went ahead & did it anyways because I've read many good reviews on it.) It for sure cleaned out all the gunk and after replacing all the spark...
