I have some expendable funds and I can't decide between cosmetic changes vs performance upgrade

Trying to decide how to spend part of my Christmas bonus. One minute it's all performance related, the next cosmetic. If things go as planned, I could do one now and one in six months, but that's questionable. Need some help from those who have done this before or are getting ready to make the same jump.

Thanks

For those choices, my vote is definitely on performance. The tune will really make the driving more enjoyable while cosmetic makes looking at it better. I drive my car more than I look it usually...unless I'm sitting at work and checking out pictures!

I have the #2 power pack on my vert, along with exhaust and long tube headers. The power pack really wakes up the car and it makes like it should have been from the factory. If you jump now you can get holiday discounts from most vendors. Also use LMR6 at late model resto for a 6% discount if the holiday discount expires.

Whipple - don’t waste your money on intakes and na tunes. Once you go boost you never go back

Definitely cosmetic. Down the road if you want to sell, the performance mods will scare folks away because of the assumption/perception the car was abused. And being its a 17' model you still have lots of warranty left that you might not want to jeopardize. Just my 2 cents.
Or better yet put the bonus in your Roth IRA, or 401K etc...

Performance but @bigyzf has a point. Consider your warranty first.

You can do a full catback without voiding your warranty and there’s no-tune intakes that claim a HP gain without a tune. That being said, a CAI itself isn’t going to make a huge change. I believe the PP2 retains the drivetrain warranty, or part of it when installed by ford? Maybe someone can clarify.

Performance, but suspension and exhaust first.

Sorry I haven't checked back sooner. Been out pushing the wife aroumd in Royal Crimson w/BAP wheelchair Christmas shopping.

Looks like ..the overwhelming consensus is performance. I spoke with a local dealer yesterday. He did instill a sense of confidence when I asked about them doing the PP2 install. Going to try another dealer tomorrow.

As for my exhaust issue, I don't want LTH. A cat-back or axle back is going to be choice. Trying to find one that isn't super loud, just a bump or two above stock is fine for me.

Thanks to all for the valuable input.

as for the exhaust, if you want just a bump or two over stock, I'd suggest Steeda resonator delete H pipe and stock mufflers. Sounds great on mine...

IIRC, it's winter. Performance upgrades won't do you much good in the winter. Do the cosmetic now but make sure you'll be able to finish the job when it gets warm out.

IMO if you aren't tracking the car a front splitter is just something to rip off on steep driveways. An exhaust is something you will notice every time you drive the car.

I say cosmetic. For the cost of that "performance" mod you're not really getting much Hp or optimal ECU calibration and it's something most enthusiasts would upgrade from eventually. I wouldn't waste my money on something so mediocre and costly.
