My local tuner told me to not use Shell and BP was his choice from his best dyno results.

I usually stick with Shell > BP > Sunoco for 93. However now I am on e85 flex tune and the only place I can get it is a Sheetz that is 16 miles away so now that is my goto. Their e85 disclaimer is is between 53%-83% ethanol. Ah well. No regrets yet.

Shell/Exxonn/Sunoco.

When I go E85, Sphinx is the only place around here that sells it.

I prefer Shell because of the 3 cents off on regular gas. They also have 10 cents off Premium gas if you get at least 10 gallons.

When my remote tuner was working on my Scion FR-S, he stated how much he hated me for having 93 octane gas in Texas since he lived in Phoenix, AZ. Better way of saying, the gas is great for tuning.

Honestly, use the Gas Buddy app and pick from the Top Tier gas stations that are the top brands and pick the cheapest one. Shell just happens to be normally the cheapest for me for good quality gas.

That makes two tuners that have said that.

It's evening out. I didn't count the exact amount of people who said they were Shell before the change, but I think it was 5 or 6. Shell looks to be the top choice for now.

I normally run Sunoco 93, but for this poll, I voted for Shell.

I guess the V-Power gimmick has me thinking that their 93 octane adds 20 more whp!

Once I get a tune on a new car I keep an eye on knock and Costco 93 gives consistently lower numbers compared to others like shell or Sunoco. Now all are in acceptable range but Costco was always at least point lower.

I used Costco religiously with my WRX running high boost/meth never really had knock issues. I just don't get it there now because I didn't bother renewing my membership. Costco is a top tier.

That's interesting. Wish I had a Costco that was close enough to fuel at on a regular basis. Top Tier, cheap, and less chance of knock is good stuff. Storage tank turnover is probably daily, too. Fresh!

Around my area I normally use Shell or Gate. I know I will catch a bunch of crap for this but I normally only run 89. I have tested all 3 gas types, from numerous stations, and I literally see/feel no gain going from 89 to 93 on the stock tune (warranty).

I DID see a surprising jump from 87 to 89 with seat of the pants dyno and MPG actually did go up 2-3 MPG on highway on a recent trip to south FL. Set my cruise control on 75 for 90% of the trip both ways (exception for construction zone and one accident we passed) and on the way down with 87 I saw 22-23 MPG and on the way up using 89 I saw 25-26 MPG. I have 3.73 rear end since I have the PP.
