I know it's bordering on sacrilege but am I the only one who thinks the 5.0L Coyote in the GT sounds better than the 5.2L Voodoo in the GT350?

I was always a GT350 fanboy and really wanted to find one I could afford, but now that I have my '22 GT (with active exhaust, not sure if that makes much of a difference) I honestly think it actually sounds better than the GT350.

Let the flaming commence!

Let's be real. There is no contest. Voodoo has a superior "note" and if you think otherwise you're in denial.

Or I have a differing opinion, but that can't be, can it? lol
Not really 🤣

Obviously, as a card carrying member of the Shelby Kids™, I'm obligated to defend the Voodoo. But of course you're entitled to your own opinion (however wrong it may be). I'm just having fun with yas

I will admit 100% I'm jealous of anyone who owns a GT350 (mainly for the Tremec *sigh*), and wish 100% that I could have found one I wanted/could afford, but I honestly prefer the engine sound of the GT

This will do for me

I have a GT. It is gorgeous. It sounds like the sexiest car ever. Ford Performance by Borla cat back since the day I got it from the factory.

The GT350 is better.

I own both, I occasionally have this same conversation with myself since I daily the GT.

I'll just about start to convince myself that the GT sounds better (2018 with active exhaust) and then I'll take the Shelby for a drive and the internal argument is quickly over. The Shelby just makes all kinds of raucous noises, burbles and pops. If you take it above 6k, the Shelby is in another stratosphere altogether. The only area the GT is competitive in, is with cold starts, where I do prefer the deeper note.

But really, in stock form this isn't really a complicated question. GT350 all day.

They both sound tinny and raspy to be honest, and I much prefer the sound of a big-inch BBF with a proper firing order through Flowmasters.

There, I said it. What were we talking about again?

Coyotes sound like out of tune trumpets.

As for the VooDoo I really wish Ford had used the traditional flat plane crank arrrangment, UDDU. I would like it to sound like a Ferrari.
