How much does the upgrade cost? I asked for P1X to D1X upgrade and it was around $1700. Kinda pricey for the HP gain IMO.P1SC1 Numbers: 708/542
P1X Numbers: 750/558
When you buy the kit new p1x upgrade over p1sc is more than a d1sc by like 30 or 50 bucks? and a d1x is more by about 200...With D1 upgrade being 1500 and D1x being 1700. Safe to say p1x is ~1400? I like the look on people’s face when you say it’s jusy a P1. Lol
Yeah but he's going from p1sc to p1x... So he's going to have to spend 1500$ or more for the p1x. So... Spending another 200 to get another 100+hp power potential is not a bad idea.Read this article, MAK did the exact swap you're talking about when the P1X came out.

Interesting. Thanks, did not know that. Then if youre paying about 16-1700 regardless then go D1xWhen you buy the kit new p1x upgrade over p1sc is more than a d1sc by like 30 or 50 bucks? and a d1x is more by about 200...

He has his kit already though, so it's too late for the $200 upgrade.Yeah but he's going from p1sc to p1x... So he's going to have to spend 1500$ or more for the p1x. So... Spending another 200 to get another 100+hp power potential is not a bad idea.
You can use the calculator here to find your RPM with any pulley size, etc. Thanks for all the replies..i'm running the 3.4 pulley now and seeing 10.5 psi. Thought about going to the 3.2 but I think that is right at or slightly pass the max rpm of the P1. I agree the D1X is probably the smart money way to go. Wanting to be right around 12-13 psi .
It's still only 200$ more than the p1x. As in 1700 vs 1500. Worth it for sure.He has his kit already though, so it's too late for the $200 upgrade.
This is why I'm so mad at myself for not going to the D1X when I bought my kit lol.
Well I have the stage two kit...just never put it on. I originally bought the HO kit with the stage two IC. Then I got a really good deal on a stage two kit (brackets and pulleys). Had great results with the HO and saw some having some issues with the stage two so I never put it on. I agree might be the best route to go.You can use the calculator here to find your RPM with any pulley size, etc.

You'd have to stay under 7200rpm to not overspin the P1SC on a 3.2 pulley.
What would be the cost to upgrade it to a Stage 2 setup? That would let you run a pulley for more boost without overspinning. Might be better to go that route than paying for the head unit upgrade? I know DiabloMatt is making ~14psi on a maxed out Stage 2 P1SC. FWIW my maxed P1X stage 2 can make 19+psi.
Oh I got it now. I agree. It's still only 200$ more than the p1x. As in 1700 vs 1500. Worth it for sure.
Stage 2 here no issues, what problems did you hear about? But yeah I would start there if I were you, especially if you already have everything for it.
