Mmr has no idea how precise wire edm is. I've been a journeyman tool and die maker for a long time. Wire and carbon edm is VERY precise.

Scott, I think you need to edit your signature and include the # of years experience with tool and die making, I don't think any of us knew that about you!

One trap not to fall into is over-engineering, for example holding .0001 tolerance when .0005 or even .001 would work just fine. Precision costs ... repeatability\accuracy can be more important than precision.

FWIW - In engineering, precision is repeatability...it's not at all related to accuracy...However, I agree that over-engineering is not a sound practice.
