Just my 2 cents, the safest way to do this is to build update offline with files from your choosing (Ford/Cyanlabs) and install via USB. As flaky as the OTA has been with all Ford vehicles I would not take the chance.
Someone told me I could void my warranty if I use Cynlabs. True?

As Schwerin said yes and no, as stated before, since I did a MFT (My Ford Touch) to Sync 3.4 plus me being out of warranty this is the way I'm proceeding. Plus, not sure how many more updates were really going to get since everything new from Ford will be Sync 4.0.

No. The only exception could possibly be a claim denial if the dealer can prove your “problem” is directly related to the update.

But that said, there is absolutely zero reason to risk the chance to use a third party app for. Sync update. There is nothing in the updates that are critical enough to not wait for the official Ford update.

A Ford Manager called me today asking about my maps update. She said according to her system I am up to date and the HERE website should never have allowed me to download maps.

She's reaching out to HERE and my Dealer to ask if they can comp me the next maps update.

HERE does not supply maps for the Mustang. I believe it is Navtec. Two different websites.

The Manager I spoke with from Ford said maps were provided by HERE. Maybe she's confused.

Not sure why she said HERE. Maps are handled by Syncnavigation.

Sync update over wifi completed when I pulled into the garage after work. There was a message at the top of the screen about downloading. Then after 5 minutes or so as I sat there playing with the stereo, this message popped up:

Hitting details, said this:

Mind you, I am using a Lincoln theme on my unit.

Now this update supposedly changed the layout of the media player screen. I noticed no change on the Lincoln theme.

But when I switched back to the OEM Mustang theme it looked like this:

I have to say, I really love what they did with the media screen. I am now debating if I will change my theme or not. 🤔

I wonder why there's no version next to my Gracenotes.
