We are in Moab for my oldest son's wedding. I'm in the Hotel pool and my son comes in and says he just spotted a EG Mach 1 parked on the street with a Granger plate. I got out of the pool and said lets go. As we were pulling out of the parking lot a green Mach 1 passes in front of us. At the next stop light, I jump out of my son's F250 and go up to the drivers window and said "Bill, find a spot to pull over so we can talk"! Bill looks at me surprised that I know he name! Well he finally finds a spot to pull over and we introduce ourselves. First Mach 1 I've seen in person and it's looking great! Bill and his wife are real nice and we talked cars for awhile and wished them a great journey home and let them go their way!! It is a small world indeed!! We pickup our Mach 1 on 9/10 and start our"journey"!!Yep, we got spotted by Jeff @JG M1 and his son in Moab too. They chased and flagged us down. We stopped and took some pics together. Where did you order them from? What @spankybranch said. I bought the wheel/tire/jack/tire iron, a couple months ago, and took them as baggage on our flight to Granger/Des Moines.
Not sure if we’re allowed to post it or not (some forums are picky about non-vendors). I sent you a message to the kit I am ordering. If you search for “mustang GT performance pack spare tire” or the same for GT350/500 you should find them too…there are at least a couple companies selling them (may all be the same part). Around $400-500 depending if you get just the spare (wheel+tire) or the kit with jack and lug wrench. Clears the larger brakes and fits in the spare tire well.Where did you order them from?
I also saw the picture of it and wasn't sure what that was all about.
I had to use fix a flat on a motorcycle tire. Makes a royal mess when you go to remount a new tire.
Got it from Automotive Authority. Luckily we didn't need it, but in the middle of nowhere CO, UT, KS, NM, AZ, and NV, it was nice to know it was back there!Where did you order them from?

Woohoo!!Got back home today. Drove 540 miles today from Elko, NV home, with a stop to drop of a care package to our nephew in Folsom from his uncle in Denver. Pulled up to the house with 2950 miles for the trip. Eowyn ran flawlessly, was super comfortable, no sore back or backsides, even with a couple 12 hours days.
We even managed to average 24.5mpg for the trip, running at elevations over 10,000ft. climbing up and down constantly through the Rockies, Sierras and High Plains. What an awesome cruiser at 85mph+ so smooth and in control, The Mach1 is an amazing machine, and the sound is awesome too! My wife really love the Coyote growl and snarl when provoked, me too.
We got so many thumbs up's, waves and compliments along the way it was really cool,, having the coolest car around. She burned zero oil, and other than a few small paint chips and the chip in her windshield (Safe Light repaired in Ogden, UT) she still looks amazing too. I kind of wish I had done a little bit of PPF, but she is my daily driver and grand touring machine, and not a show car.
Next up is an oil/filter change, X-pipe and jacking rail install. I'm going to install one of my clear tail-lights and compare to see if I like them or not. Right now I like the red, but haven't seen the clear on an EG Mustang yet.
Thanks for all the likes and comments, and good luck with all of your new rides!
Glad we could come along for the journey, and very glad to hear she's been great for you. Looking forward to seeing more updates and pictures while we wait for ours
That was such a surprising and amazing day. You guys were crazy, chasing us down. We really enjoyed meeting and talking with you guys. If you have half the fun and adventure my wife and I did, you're going to be blown away. Keep us all up to date on your trip, and if you see any signs mentioning "Chip & Seal" make an immediate U-turn. Oh, and don't bother with the Four Corners Monument either, unless you confirm they are done paving Highway 160 from where it departs U.S.491 to the monument driveway.
The Mach 1 is beautiful and will definitely be a car to drive and enjoy. That's my plan. You guys had a trip to remember and glad it went off without any major issues.
