I have been seeing some knock with the usual 93 octane I fill up here in Canada.. Went to Canadian tire (automotive store here in Canada) and picked up some royal purple max boost. Claims to raise 30 points (3 points of octane).

Cheap stuff, picked up a can for 12$ CAD which is about 9$ USD and surprisingly, it works! No knock at all now.

Anyone have any experience with it?

Will this stuff turn my injectors orange?

Thanks

It basically turns your entire exhaust system orange, but it does work well.

I would be weary of what it does to your injectors and cats. A lot of the cheaper ones will cause damage with frequent use. Professional Boostane works well, and is safe for those items. A little more expensive, but well worth it.

I used Klotz in the 95 race car when I was out of race fuel. Good stuff. It’ll raise fuel 100 points. I’ve decided to give it a try in the 2015. I’ve read it won’t discolor like other brands. I’ll keep you posted.

I'd be interested in that.. Please keep me posted. 74$ a gallon is good pricing, and 16oz treats 20 gal..
Meaning you can fill up about 10 times with 1 gal, works out to $7.40 a tank which is pretty cheap for octane booster.

Hopefully doesn't turn your insides orange.

Edit: On further research, it will NOT turn your insides orange.
I guess I will be buying this as well.

Cheers @bluebeastsrt

Summit racing and jegs both sell the stuff for $59 a gallon. Amazon.com has it for $50 a gallon.

I use it when I go to the strip. If you are in Toronto, use Petro Can Ultra 94. I see good results. As for octane boost from Canadian tire the NOS brand also works well

NOS has MMT. Will turn your plugs/inside orange. Don't use that stuff

Seems KLOTZ is the best option on the table IMO

I heard the MMT builds up on the plugs and eventually cause the plugs to go bad.
MMT is known to coat the O2 sensor and spark plugs with a orange color.

I'm going to stop using MMT based octane booster just incase and use Klotz

We have a Petro Canada at the corner down from us at Rexdale/Martin Grove selling 94, although I have a stock EB and have been running Mobil 91. I can see from your signature that you might need the extra octane.

I'm having good luck w/ VP octanium so far. Knock sensor activity wasn't horrible on my tank of gas, but wouldn't allow any timing increase. After throwing in the octanium on top of the same tank of gas, issue solves and she ran great. I just plan on running it for track days.

Stupid question, has anyone used aviation 100LL? 100 octane but Low Lead, not No Lead.
smells good coming out of the exhaust.
Very accessible around here.
