  1. Bicycles and skis?

Uh, don’t you just put the top down put your skis in the back seat?😁
  2. Anyone Fixed Trunk Light Not Working, Rear Camera is Fine.

I received the recall but have not had it done as I have no issues. I also don’t think that my harness is overly tight. What I have found is that Ford managed to install it so that if left alone, when you close the trunk it will get pinched between the lid and the rubber seal on the body. So, I...
  3. At the pumps... How do you all handle people asking you for gas money/gas up their car?

Never had that happen in Canada nor have I ever had anyone tell me it happened to them. What I did have happen one time was a guy in a parking lot approach me with the ā€œmy car broke down and I have to get back to London (Ontario, about a two hour drive from Toronto) and can you spare some money...
  4. Thinking about getting back into a convertible Mustang

I bought a 10R80 car because I thought my wife would drive the car (she can drive stick but prefers not to). Coming up on eight years and she has driven it, I think, three times. Would’ve bought a manual with that knowledge. As far as age goes, bear in mind that an S550 top is hideously...
  5. Clear "Service Tire Mobility Kit" message on display?

Yep, my car wasn’t ordered with one and I had the Ford kit provided as part of the deal. If you shred a tire out in the middle of nowhere, the goo isn’t going to help you.
  6. Clear "Service Tire Mobility Kit" message on display?

Funny, I’m coming up to eight years with car in July and have never gotten the message, even though I’m pretty sure there is a sticker on the canister which indicates I’m well past the date.
  7. Anyone drive in sport or track mode as daily driver? Is it safe for the car?

I’ve taken to using S in my A10 around town as I find D just upshifts too many gears and literally lugs the engine (not good for an Ecoboost), plus D has an annoying 5>4 and 4>3 downshift on closed throttle coast down (like to a red light), which Ford insisted wasn’t a problem. Oddly enough, if...
  8. Trans oil change

My thought is that I will probably be about halfway through my ownership when I change it. I’m thinking in a couple years, when I might be at 75K kms. Spread that cost over time and mileage and it’s peanuts, without worrying about not getting it right or burning myself.
  9. 2028 Camaro 7th Gen is Coming

Saw the Avista at the Toronto auto show one year. It was gorgeous and easily would have been a candidate for my garage had they brought a version of it to market.
  10. 2020 GT New Battery Recommendations

In Canada too. Bought an Energizer AGM at Costco in late 2021 but now appears they don’t carry them in our size anymore.
  11. Top Down Side Boot Covers

I’ve got a Love the Drive screen and winter rubber. Although I don’t drive it as much in retirement, it still gets out in the winter and the top is down regularly. My current streak top down every month has been running since March 2022. This in Toronto.
  12. Top Down Side Boot Covers

Here you go. Note the small black pads highlighted. Mine kept coming away so I finally took them off and reapplied with contact cement. Also, if you want a cheap storage solution for them, I took an old queen size pillow case and simply machine stitched it up the centre to create two separate...
  13. ROYAL CRIMSON S550 MUSTANG THREAD

It is awesome. There are a lot of colours that I considered, and got this on pure, dumb luck, as there basically weren’t any cars in Ontario at the time equipped as I wanted, except mine. I think eventually I would have tired of my other thoughts (yellow and orange among them) but eight years on...
  14. TPMS witchcraft - Replacement not working like original

I imagine new part has different thought processes than the originals. If it’s any consolation, my wife’s Rogue (and probably many other brands) work this way. Her car takes about 500’ to start sending data from the valve stems.
  15. GAGE CLUSTER display

Pretty sure that would be connected to the navigation, telling you distance and time remaining.
  16. BREITLING, ROLEX, TUDOR, OMEGA, anybody into high end watches?

I went from my Tissot automatic to wearing this as my daily now. Does everything I need it to do for about CDN$200, half of which is the Long Island Watch bracelet. Also have a NATO strap for travelling to countries where I follow one of my mantrasā€¦ā€never wear a watch worth more than your hand.ā€...
  17. Convertible vs Non-Convertible.

I also forgot to mention my personal moto, ā€œIt’s not how fast you get there, it’s how you look when you arrive.ā€ This is greatly enhanced by my exceptionally rare Royal Crimson colour. 403 GT and 515 Ecoboost convertibles.
  18. Royal Crimson

I am in a Royal Crimson group on Facebook and they aggregated results from various members having Marti reports done. This is an excerpt from one of the posts on the subject: ā€œOK. Here's what the Marti reports came up with for total Royal Crimson production: Ecoboost fastback - 1664 Ecoboost...
  19. Battery upgrade

I replaced the OEM with an AGM from Costco Near the end of Covid when I tested it and the specific gravity had dropped to borderline fair/good.
  20. Convertible vs Non-Convertible.

It really depends on your end mission. If you just want to cruise, for me, convertible all day long. Sure, it’s heavier, not as stiff and noisier with the top up, BUT, if you’ve had a bad day at the office, nothing beats dropping the top and taking the scenic route home to get rid of any stress...
