man math is hard..... i have been adding 16 oz of VP Octanium at fill up to get crappy AZ 91 boosted to 93. the Boostane chart makes my head hurt as well is thinking about filling up when the tank is not empty. i think the only thing i miss about IL is 93 and e85 basically available everywhere.

The mix chart isn't so hard. 91 to 93 requires 0.18 oz per gallon, or 1.8 oz of booster to 10 gallons of fuel. That's roughly 2 oz, so one can of boostane will convert 80 gallons of 91 into 93.

Yeah. why is the ratio for Boostane so much lower than that of say VP Octanium?

Right now I am putting in 16 oz of VP into a full tank fill up. It is a bit of a pain in the arse to determine half a can since it is non clear metal jug. Need to get a better system for these fill ups.

Adding just 2-3 oz of Boostane sounds like it would be easier to measure out.

When just adding a couple of points for safety, I use boostane shots. $9 a bottle, but no measuring. The bottles are the size of 5hr energy drinks. I keep a couple in the car so I always have it when I fill up

You should look into the 16oz bottles of Boostane, more economical. I bought an 8 pack of 16 oz bottles and it came to $15.89 per bottle. You are paying $36.00 for the equivalent of a 16 oz size bottle of Boostane by buying the shots. I got a some chemical resistant plastic bottles in 8oz size with caps for $1.67 each, to carry the Boostane in the car.

I bought a cheap plastic measuring cup on Amazon. Throw in a transmission funnel so you don’t have to worry about spilling the OBooster on your paint. Those little yellow funnels are useless. Keep all of it in a large zip lock travel bag in the trunk. And your good to go. Buy the boostane in a 5 gallon can if you want the absolute best price per ounce.
