It‘s possible you missed my point.

They aren’t all undriveable. Not by a long shot. That’s like waving someone off buying a GT350 because “they all blow up”.

I do however completely agree with your comment that “the non-HP makes more sense for most.” That’s fair.
I agree, some people get good 10-speeds I guess . Mine was unacceptable until it was tuned.
I see tons of posts with people that are very disappointed with their’s
Lots on Facebook pages as well

Hold up. So we’re worrying about splitters scraping on driveways? Y’all pull into your driveways? I thought the only acceptable way to pull into ones driveway/garage was by backing in. What is all this pulling in nonsense??

Obviously just some lighthearted humor here. Pull into your driveways/garages however you please. As long as it’s by backing in🤣🤣. Carry on.

my drive is steep at bottom, so much so I can not back in, just won t work. Pulling in on angle works but I love backing into garage, LOL.

Funny!!😁
Guess if you want a car that can’t pull into certain parking lots too.. maybe I’ll have the wife jump out and hold traffic while I back in… 😂

I do pretty much back in everywhere I go with the Mustang, so yeah I’m that guy that will block some traffic to do so 🤭. Easier to do in most of the western burbs though, parking is usually plentiful enough to do so without disrupting traffic too much.

I get it, we’re pretty flatlanded out here in the Chicago burbs. Other places that have a little more topography probably have much more of a challenge.

Plenty of pot holes in Chicago that would take out a HP splitter ! 😂
This is exactly why I’ve never lowered my last few mustangs, don’t need the hassle or stress at my age.

Oh, and I drive mine all winter too so snow plays into that HP splitter decision.
If it’s a garage queen that only comes out when conditions are perfect then yeah your good with it

Same here, drive it all year round. Would make a good snow plow 🤣. I’ve been contemplating the PP2 splitter for mine, which is more or less the same as the HP splitter. I’m with you on lowering. If I do anything it’ll be Steeda minimum drop with FP Track dampers. But I’m in no rush, not like they get around to fixing potholes in a timely fashion around here, if at all.

Job security I guess with the joke patching tar they use which turns into gravel after the first rain.
I hear the progressive springs re the way to go

Every single parking spot I back in but into my driveway I do this and I get 0 scrape (my rear wheel even bounces up too haha) :like:

Have you driven a tuned A10 and compared it during normal driving to a stock A10?
If so then you wouldn't say this is nonsense.
That's not necessary if you are content with stock A10 tuning :sunglasses:

Many posters on FB don't get how it works or how to use it or have wrong expectations imo. Some do have issues, mainly with older cars, that software update and reset would fix.
We should differentiate clear issues such as harsh shifting and behaviour that is programmed, like shift points in dynamic shift strategies etc. First needs fixing, second is fine unless you want it different in which case aftermarket tune may make it better for you.

But saying the stock A10 is bad or unusable is clearly wrong.

So, you're driving around town already dead? 😁

Because in the land of the living the Ford A10 as delivered by the chimps in the Mustang team, is a steaming pile.

I feel sorry for the folks who haven't sampled the Devine delicacy of GM's programming (or Wengerds et al fixes), for in sooth the Ford experience is Hell on earth.

When I had the stock tune normal D mode was a dog and shifted to 10th gear too quick.
Then I'd put in S mode so I'd have some responsive throttle when driving and it would jerk my head off with downshifting.
It was just bad all around.
I don't think Ford fixed these issues with updates as people with the DH are still complaining about it.

Oh boy! This has turned into another transmission thread.
friend of mine is kinda like me, an old codger. He's on his 3rd Mustang GT with the A10. He had a 2019, his wife's 2021, and his new 2024. I asked him about the A10, and if he has had any issues with any of them. So far he has been very happy with with all of his A10's.
