I want power for anything else I decide I want back there.6 AWG wire is for 60 amps. Way overkill. #10 or 12 will work fine for these little 15a pumps.

Go to post #43, I have a picture of the sensor that I added in the factory sensor location.Pry yourself away from the keypad, climb under your track pack then come back and tell us where Ford put the differential temp sensor.

How effective is the wrap at keeping the rear differential cooler than without the wrap? Is this an easy way to help lower rear end temps without adding an external cooler?I cant remember how much I used but yes use 50% overlap. Here is a old pic I took when I installed my wrap![]()

The wrap was effective for my 1st season on the track. I am a old track whore so after I got faster and pushed a lot harder I had to move up to a cooler. I do feel that you should start with the wrap and invest in a leaf blower. When you get back to the pits, just place the leaf blower under the car and point it at the diff. for a few mins and that may be enough til you really start to push the car. It may be enough and you wont have to step up to a cooler. How effective is the wrap at keeping the rear differential cooler than without the wrap? Its Just a Band-Aid. If you intend to take your S550 to the track, my suggestion is get a diff cooler. For me, I spend so much time and money getting to the track, the LAST thing I want to have to do is Sit out because of a Hot Diff. How effective is the wrap at keeping the rear differential cooler than without the wrap?
