Is your driveway wide enough to use a more aggressive approach angle? I take some driveway entries at 45ish degrees. You can also try to approach it already at an angle so you drive up on the apron with the wheels pointed straight and with the car at a more aggressive angle at initial entry into the apron. For backing out, you'd do the opposite and be at the proper exit angle by the time you hit the apron so you don't have to turn the wheels while on the apron.
There is only one approach that works without scraping and is a narrow approach, so it is a hit and miss situation.

I decided to go with 305-35-20 Michelin PS 4S front tires. They are 1.2" larger in diameter and raised the front end about 5/8" which allow me to enter the driveway without scraping. Unfortunately the left tire contacted the inside of the wheel well when the steering wheel was turned all the way to the right. Luckily it didn't cause any damage except to the Jaeger Bros gravel guard on the left side, which was repairable.

I finally decided to reinstall the original front tires last Thursday. So much for my grand experiment.

Here is a picture of the left front tire that shows the lack of clearance when the tire is turned all the way to the left.

Dang sorry the tire idea didn't work out as you had hoped, Earl. Perhaps a row of SlipLo pieces is in order? They're only about 3/16 thick. Just a thought, amigo. It'll still scrape but the damage will be to them, not the splitter.

That may be the only viable option at this point, I don't think the county is going to step up and repair the road.

Should have known that ingenious folks would come up with a solution like that, Jamie...great idea. I thought of theft but read that they are extremely heavy sections which hopefully, would solve that issue.

Imagine the local HOA's By-Laws might come into play.

What say you, Earl?

Thanks Earl for taking one for the team, again. I was very curious how that change might have worked and hope you find a solution soon.

Edit - I scrape every time upon exit of my driveway and the SlipLos take the hit. They do work very well.

I am running bigger tires...and wider ....after some fender liner massaging and cutting it is working with NO rubbing....but it's definitely not a bolt on and go setup

Earl, I sent you a PM already, but check these out.
I checked into those and after trying 2"x 6" lumber in the gutter I determined that it wouldn't work in my situation. The car scrapes when the wheels are in the gutter or out of the gutter.

No HOA here.

I need to get the front end up and take a good look at the existing damage before I throw more money at the problem.

I can guarantee that car wouldn't pass the scrape test.

I was thinking more like this.
