My 500 is at just under 10,000 miles and is still making me smile, even at $7.20 a gal. It has reliably been my best vehicle purchase and I tell everyone that asks to get one or two for themselves.
I respect your point Anthony, but materials is my jam, LOL. I just was hoping someone had measured the inside diameter and cross section thickness of the rings. I will do this this weekend anyway after draining and just want to compare findings. Remember, cut twice and safety third!
Tom, I got a couple of filters on order from Galpin (where I purchased my car) but they let me know up front that they did not have any o-rings. Do you have the size by chance? I will get a pack from McMaster-Carr and share that part number.
Sorry if you or someone else already posted this...
Bath day and the wheel cleaning went great with just Megiars Hybrid Ceramic Detailer. I did put a coat of ceramic on before mounting a few weeks ago.
edit: In the shot, F/A18A Hornet No. 1, Fatman test casing, T-39 Sabreliner test bed.
Hey KB, are you finding out your new wheels are easier to clean vs. the CF stockers? I did not like my base gloss black wheels to begin with and could swear the new rims are a lot less work to clean. Less surface area on the faces for sure but the black was back to dirty in 2 days like others...
"Merry Christmas?"
Yes St. Nick, it is Christmas every day I drive her! Also, I have been good so can you bring me some FL2087 filters this year?
Anyone try the aFe 44-LF034? I bought 4 cause I read they are the same as the Royal Purple construction. I am worried now after reading this entire thread.
