  1. Resonator Delete?

I have done Shiftech H and X on my 350R, then Borla catback (awesome!) and now Hooker Blackheart 3" catback (perfection!). Just make sure you go 2.75" or even 3". The Shifteck 2.5" midpipes cause a sort of strange resonance that some people have described as a "plastic bag in the wind" noise...
  2. Full production breakdown of the GT350R including rarest specs (2015 - 2020)

That's really interesting all the way around, Harry. Thank you for all of your encouragement and help for me and so many other Boss and GT350 enthusiasts!
  3. Full production breakdown of the GT350R including rarest specs (2015 - 2020)

I sure do love me some Kona Blue 2020 GT350Rs! What a cool car.
  4. Guys, how important is the “Shelby” name to the enjoyment of your car?

That's funny - I didn't even think about that lettering. Duh.
  5. Guys, how important is the “Shelby” name to the enjoyment of your car?

I love the fact that my GT350R doesn't say Shelby anywhere on it . . . the name or brand means pretty much zero to me. Heck, Boss 302 is a way cooler name in my book (says me, a 2 time Boss 302 owner).
  6. Newbie (well almost) - looking for advice

Congratulations! Iconic Silver is amazing in person. And no stripes makes it even cooler to my eyes. You will love your new 350R.
  7. New 350R HEP owner in NY

Wait until you get to drive your 350R hard . . . they get sharper and more precise feeling the harder you drive. It will surprise you. Plus, you get the best exhaust note ever combined with one of the nicest shift actions and great seats.
  8. Has anyone owned an R first, and went to a non-R?

I've driven my zero option 2020 350R across half the country and back. Taken it to work, to the grocery store, wherever. I did put some 20" alloy wheels with GT500-spec tires and have the CF wheels sitting in the garage. It very rarely scrapes. I have not driven a 'regular' GT350 but I would...
  9. New 350R HEP owner in NY

Congratulations! You have great taste in cars! Curious to see how your M2 CS compares to the Shelby. I think I already know (and it's going to mean the BMW collects dust).
  10. I think I castrated my Shelby….and I’m not happy about it

God yes those both sound tremendous!
  11. I think I castrated my Shelby….and I’m not happy about it

I got lucky with the Hooker (doesn't that sound terrible!?!) - they discontinued the exhaust and were selling them extra cheap last spring. I got the non-valved one for 850 bucks shipped. Full 3" 304 stainless and very nicely made. A few lbs lighter than the 2.75" Borla on my scale, too.
  12. I think I castrated my Shelby….and I’m not happy about it

OP - sorry you went through all of that and aren't happy with the sound. I have toyed with the idea of getting headers on my car but the sound (volume and quality) was always my biggest concern. For people who think the OE GT350R exhaust is the best sounding, wait until you hear one with the...
  13. Rear End Sway- Problem?

    Super cool! Enjoy it!
  14. Rear End Sway- Problem?

Also, 39psi is way too high. 30-32 much better.
  15. Rear End Sway- Problem?

OP - that does not seem normal. Your car should feel very locked down through hard cornering once you have heat in the tires. In saying that, these cars feel a lot different than a car with a mid or rear engine. I would get it up on a lift and check everything to make sure nothing is loose...
  16. Swapping Tires on GT350R CF Wheels

Tire Rack has the specs as they measure the tires in terms of section width and tread width. Some of us run 20" wheels on our 350Rs. I am running the GT500 spec PS4S tires on custom wheels (20x11 ET24, 20x11.5 ET61) and with the 305s up front, I get slight rub at full lock (running 2.2...
  17. GT350 on the Nürburgring driven by Misha Charoudin

I am so glad you got to experience the Ring that way! And what a great video! For someone like him, who gets to drive everything up to McLarens and such, to really enjoy your car is a huge compliment to our cars.
  18. Swapping Tires on GT350R CF Wheels

There are plenty of people running the OE sized GT350 tires (295/35/19 front, 305/35/19 rear) on their 350R wheels (or aftermarket R spec wheels). You don't want to go with anything taller than that because you definitely will start encountering rubbing of the plastic inner fenders when you...
