I’m saying hairdressers in the USA get more training than cops.
Gotcha. You are saying Kaepernick is actually protesting for better police training. They will be glad to hear that. But damn, he does a poor job getting his point across.

To be clear, it’s not his job to get the point across. His job is (was) to throw footballs. He’s taken this task on as a labor of love....and he’s copped a lot of flak from a bunch of people for his attempts to save lives and make the country a safer place to live.

So the pig socks were an attempt to save lives? Please explain.

If he hadn't have worn those socks, would your opinion of him and his actions have changed?

Would you think "yeah, that kneeling QB has a point....too many cops shootings where people of color die?"

Cool.

Now back to the reason why Kaepernick is kneeling.....people who look like him keep being killed by the Police. The Police are employed to uphold the peace, not to dispense justice. When an arm of the government is shooting your people, should you be compelled to stand under that government’s flag?

I think the man is entitled to peacefully protest by respectfully kneeling.

He is a grandstander. That is why he is kneeling. He simply found something that would draw attention to his failing carrier. If you think more of it than that, well...why all of the sudden, once his career (AC) was in the tank did he decide to take a stand..no pun intended..?

What's a carrier? You mean career?

His last season where he started 12 games he had 16 TDs, 4 ints, and a 90.7 passer rating. He's better than at LEAST 1/3 of the starting QBs in the league today. The only reason he isn't playing is because owners don't want to deal with the drama that surrounds him, anyone that says otherwise doesn't understand football. If he stood during the anthem, guarantee he'd be on a team.

I like the cut of your jib, cosmo.......and (as a Mazda rotary guy, your username).

Kaepernick would clearly make the roster somewhere, but I'm not sure that we'll live long enough for some crusty old white billionaire to become woke enough to pick him up.

He's a brand now...not a player. The NFL ended his career.

You should understand that Nike is much bigger than America.

America is just a tiny sneaker buying nation. Nike is global.....and Kaepernick is now the face of a global brand. The people in the flyover states that throw Budweiser cans at the TV aren't Nike's market.

Typing quick on my phone. Must have autocorrected. And no, he isn't better than 1/3 of the Starting QB's in the league today. He was middle of the pack with just over 1td per game his final year of which he played 12 games. Almost every QB equal or lower than him on that list is not starting right now. If they are starting it is because 2016 was most likely their rookie year.

Arizona, Tennessee, Jacksonville, Houston, and Miami could all use him. Jets and Buffalo could start him as well. I'd even argue for Dallas as well, Prescott had a good year when teams weren't covering Zeke, but once they discovered that if they cover Zeke Prescott can't beat them, voila Dallas offense plummeted from 5th to 14th.

Kaepernick’s philanthropy and charitable giving has been well documented. He has provided million$ in scholarship aid, started a charity that provides new suits for poor people who can’t afford to dress for job interviews, he has donated money and truckloads of water to communities whose drinking supplies have been contaminated through governmental screw-ups (Flint) as well as communities where the water supply is compromised by weather and natural disasters. This is all BEFORE and SINCE the first time he knelt on a football field. He never sought public acknowledgement for any of these things. That’s something a grandstander would do.
