Hello all! Thanks for having me on the site. I just bought myself a used but flawless '15 GT Premium last month. I've owned Fox Mustangs over the years, one of which for nearly 29 years now. But anyway, this is by far the finest Mustang I've ever owned. Really Love it! Let the modding begin! LOL

Hi! I joined for 2 reasons:

1) I've been lurking for a while now doing research on new Mustangs and this looks like the place to get some great insights and information.

2) Looking for the latest version of SYNC 3 for my 2016 F-150.

Thanks to all for sharing your experiences!

Hey all. I recently picked up a base auto 17 GT for a steal. Have not been in a Mustang in 8 years. The improvement the platform has made since my 03 Cobra is impressive. Definitely going FI since my Cobra had a 2.8 KB and I previously owned a single turbo Supra. A high 8 second full weight street car is my long term goal. Tons of good information and meticulous build threads on here, I love it.

Hello, M6G world.

I’m James (@ximportdriver). You may recognize me by the same name from the former West Coast Fords and current StangNet.

My current ride is 2017 GT PP Lightning Blue. Previous rides were a 2013 GT (Mustang Customizer Winner #1), 1999 Saleen S281sc, and a 1994 SVT Cobra.

Now that I’m in a S550, I thought I’d join this forum.

Cheers!

Hi, I'm "local driver". I joined this site because I'm looking for information about new Mustangs.

I'm going to be selling or trading my 2010 Camaro SS within the next year or so, and I'm seriously considering a Mustang GT as a replacement.

My main reasons for considering a Mustang, so far, are:

Smaller, lighter car
A10 transmission
No cylinder de-activation
All season tire option for V8
Spare tire option for V8

My main concerns are:

Ford dealers in my area not the best
Stories about AC failure

Although I do occasionally take my Camaro to the drag strip, my favorite application for a muscle car is long road trips. And I do have a 4WD winter car.

Looking forward to perusing the forum and getting to know the people and the cars!:)

Welcome! Just buy an extended warranty if you're going to keep the Mustang for more than 36/36 and you won't have to worry about the AC.

Welcome> I've owned a number of Mustangs including Fox and new edge Cobra. My s550 is by far the most sophisticated and powerful of the bunch. Moreover, it out handles and has better ride quality than my Cobra with IRS. However, it is bigger and heavier than the previous models I've owned. Nonetheless, it is deceptive when actually throwing it around. I've done autocross and open track with my 16 GT PP and it is so much easier to drive than the others despite heft and dimensions.

With that said, even the 2018 GT PP2 will be hard pressed to match an L1E. Would be interesting to see the match, but the prior history does not favor the Mustang GT. Would I buy the Camaro? Nope. The S550, even with its actual or theoretical performance deficiencies (when compared to the bowtie) that I will give up those in favor of the S550.

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this forum and interested in buying either a new 18 GT PP/PP2 or a slightly used GT350. My other possible option is a new Camaro 2SS. I consider myself a car enthusiast and respect all different cars.

My good buddy has a 17' 1SS 1LE which is a badass car. One thing I don't like is the huge blindspots and the cabin feels almost claustrophobic. My girlfriend recently bought a 17' Ecoboost and its a really nice car for essentially a base model.

I'm just torn between either the Camaro or Mustang. I slightly favor the Mustang in the styling but you can't beat the price for a near fully loaded 2SS.

I prefer brand new and I'm a little skeptical on a used GT350. Just worried about how hard the miles were driven.

Lastly, I've been lurking this forum for a little while and so far it seems like a great and informative forum!

Hi and welcome too..when my got my s550 a few years back wasn't actually thrilled bout the new look but as time goes on after your purchase you realized how beautiful and shapely the lines are. Then you see all the hard work the Ford engineers did putting this awesome machine together..body, chassis, drivetrain, interior, etc..The more you see the camaro you realize its a bulking carcass with small windows and two silverish suitcases shoved up the backend for muffling..
