I mod the car to drive it, not to park it. I also don't mod (or own it) to impress anyone else.

Confused a bit. I would flip it and instead ask who mods to show off. I bought, mod, and obsessively wash my car for me and nobody else. Any compliments are simply a bonus. I like to hope the majority will feel the same. I know they exist but can't imagine being someone living a life ruled by others opinions.

I'm from the opposite side of the spectrum I guess. I never go to car meets / shows...only the drag strip now and then (to race the car - not watch or talk). I mod my car to better suit me, as I drive it every day.

Have to agree with everyone else so far. I mod for me and only me. I find ways to enjoy driving my car every day and 99% of the time I'm by myself with no one around on an open road.

I do whatever I like to the car for my own enjoyment and not anyone else. Rarely do I ever have anyone in the car with me so there's no one to impress.
I offered my girlfriend a choice of cars last weekend to go on a road trip... the 2014 Fusion or the 2019 Mustang. She picked the Fusion. I think I need to dump her ass.
