I've been "in the market, as it were" for a nice early '60s Country Squire wagon...... this'd be an interesting alternative.

No you wouldn't mopar had one with a 5.7 v8 and it didn't sell. Hell that roof line looks like the mopar with mustang type skinned sides
But this is a 2-door, and thus infinitely cooler. Shooting brakes are awesome.

Ya, 2 doors are awesome, but not as a wagon , that is IF you plan on using it as a wagon. At least the nomad had a taller roof line so getting in the back wasn't a neck breaker.

It certainly would draw quite the crowd at the local cruise night.

I'd have loved an SRT8 Magnum, I just couldn't afford one.

Well - a wagon (or shooting brake) version of the Mustang was something that Ford dabbled with from the early days. Maybe due in part to the popularity of the Falcon wagon, since the 1st gen Mustang was based on a Falcon.

MotorTrend did an article on it a while back.... https://www.motortrend.com/features/1605-the-saga-of-1965-mustang-wagon/

And here's a pic of one of the early design studies by Ford.....

And, then there's this..... someone on the web did a bit of their own design study using one of what I think is the coolest pic from the GT350 dealer brochure and coffee table book. Gotta admit, I'm a wagon geek, so I even find this somewhat interesting.
