I agree with the others. Do the deal. It's worth it. Just tell them you'll split the $900 with them and call it a day :D Don't leave it to chance that while you're haggling over $900, that someone else will swoop in and buy it from under you. Good luck!

Get rid of the Tech Pack car asap....
I probably would have told Ford to suck it, had I purchased a GT350 with cooler issues, and traded it in on a Z28.

Ok thanks they offered 55k and I can get the 2017 at 1k over Suggested retail price. Thanks John

No or a Yes...... You're not gonna hurt my feelings, im to damn old to get my feelings hurt! Thank John...
in my humble opinion, thats a good deal for a Tech-Pack traded-in.

Just few days ago, I paid MSRP on a 2016 track-pack. I wanted a white one and couldn't find any better deals as I was getting tired of dealing with all these dealers---It was a nightmare.

An idea if they don't come down on price---Just squeeze a car-cover and/or some accessories out of them?

There's not much markup on these cars, brand new. The dealer only makes a little over $3,000 on a '17. And they pay to sell on top of that. They make double that on a truck. Just saying that $900 is good hit on the dealer on a car this much in demand. Your original deal sounded good.

I got $57K for my tech car two months ago. One limp mode did it for me. It looks like the tech cars are taking a hit because of the cooler issues. Get out while you can. The KBB cash offer helped me buy the tech car for $56K. The ford dealer was in the program and used it on my 16 C7 trade. The 17 is the way to go.

I can tell you that I paid MSRP and that the dealer made over $6700 on my '16. Not including any year end kick backs!

Car..

The GT350 that I was working on, was sold to someone in North Carolina today, so I hesitated to long nobody's fault but my own, but I have a lot of things going on today before I could get over there to the dealership! And I'd rather have had avalanche gray, then white with blue stripes! There's always more 350s. And on top of that I've been in the process of buying a new home just a lot going on! Thanks for everybody on 6G for all your input on this. I'm also just thinking about selling the tech pack 350 car out right, the car only has 1800 miles on it, and if i'm going to do this I need to do this before it gets any more miles on it. John

I'm hoping its someone on 6G that bought the car

John, I suggest that you made the right decision as far as waiting for an AG car.

With so much money involved especially at our age you need to get the color of car that you really like and as you said there are a lot more 2017 GT350's in AG to be had for the rest of this model year.

Selling your tech pack car outright is a great idea IMO and with cash in hand then go looking for exactly what you want in a 2017 car.

Good Luck!!

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thank you PP0001 on you great advice, it's was a great deal on that 350, but deep inside I would have not been happy with a white 350 with blue stripes, I just owned to many white cars in my early years. Thanks  John

Also thanks to everyone with there advice here on 6G

OK, can you break that down? I see the math showing the difference between the dealer cost and the msrp for the car and its options and its around $3,000 for my car.

55 is a good price especially since your getting a 17 for 1k over. For me personally, I'd make the deal.

In ga you would have to get $58,850 to net $55,000 in trade in value. Not sure you will get that much for a tech car. Good luck and yes there will be plenty of 17 350's to choose from. Maybe with discounts this winter.
