OK, can you break that down? I see the math showing the difference between the dealer cost and the msrp for the car and its options and its around $3,000 for my car.
It was easy for me...I have the invoice...wanted it to document my car.

John, on another note...I can remember your first post on here and how excited you were about your car and when it arrived! Not sure what your motivation for a '17 is (maybe I missed it). I'm in a different situation, I love my car, can't get enough of it and have not one single issue with it and couldn't get a '17 in Comp. Orange if i tried. If it doesn't work out go back to the day you picked her up!

I have the dealer's copy of the invoice as well. Dealer paid 57,787.76. I paid 60,960.00. That = $3,172 dealer profit. Those numbers are in U.S. $$$$.

Of course the invoice says, "This invoice may not reflect the final cost of the vehicle in view of the possibility of future rebates, allowances, discounts, and incentive awards from Ford Motor Company to the dealer".

Mine doesn't have this quote and it looks like it was printed on an 80's vintage printer...has a whole break down of option cost vs. retail etc. Don't know what to tell you...I know that we pay more for everything up here but I can't see it being that much of a differential.

Maybe I shouldn't have it...so this is the last I will say about it lol

5.2 VooDoo yes I'm very happy with my 350 and I love driving it, we had planed on taking it on a trip to the West Coast on the first of September but then at the end of July she found this new house that she wants, so we have been involved with this new house, with painters, new carpet on other things before moving into it. But have been concerned if we had gone on our trip to the west coast, I have wondered if my car was going to go into the Limp Mode while Traveling to the West Coast, so this is why I started looking at a 2017 GT350. It's just a gut feeling that I have, but I do not think that Ford or Ford performance, is going to do any thing about the Coolers, I'm hoping I'm wrong on this gut feeling especially for the guys that want to track there Base and Tech 350 cars, I had never planed on tracking my 350. But it would be nice to know when I'm taking on road trip I'm not cooking the trans, rear end, to death.
So I hope this help everyone on 6G what I have been thinking about on what's going on with the cooler issue, and buying a new 2017 350, and I'm not asking Ford to pay for the fix, I'm wiling to pay for them. I can say the GT 350 is one awesome car, yes it's the best Mustang Ford has made. But if and when my 350 go's into the Limp Mode it's gone, even if I have to almost give it away, or take a big loss on the car, it's only money and you can not take it with you!
I have owned many mustangs my first was when I came home from over seas from the Navy in 1966. But my last three have been a 2014 GT and the 2015 GT then my 2016 GT 350  John

Enjoy your GT350!!! Limp Mode is not going to happen on a drive to California. Damaging your vehicle by driving it on the highway will not happen. Your last 2 cars were Mustang GT's? I do not think those had trans, rear diff, or oil coolers? Limp mode is there to protect your transmission and rear differential from damage. I don't think Mustang GT's had a "Limp Mode" which is why people haven't complained about it! I am sure people who tracked their Boss's and Mustang GT's were getting some scary transmission temperatures, just no Limp Mode to spoil the party...

My brother has a tech pack GT350 and loves it. 0 issues with limp mode on the street. I have put his car into limp mode at Road America. 2-3 laps and its there. If you are accelerating to 150 mph, braking 100%, accelerating 100% constantly for 8-10 minutes on a race track...worry. If you are hitting limp mode on the street, you are a danger to everyone on the road with you!

Bottom line, you have a great car, much more capable than the Mustang GT's you owned previously. Enjoy!

BTW...my brother is trading his tech pack in on a 2017 GT350 (Or maybe even a new ZL1) just for the limp mode reason! He tracks his car at Road America with me and hits limp mode every session. Very frustrating. Again, he has had 0 issues off the racetrack. If you intend to track your car, get a 2017. If you don't, ENJOY!!

My 2 cents...

Thanks I appreciate your input on what I was concerned about! That's good news your brothers 350 has not went into the limp mode on the street, my 350 has not hit the limp mode on the street my big concern was the trip to California Arizona Utah Idaho and another points West. Thanks I know my girl friend would really like me to keep this 350.  John
