That was Mopar, in the first place. 🤢
Mopar took Charger styling I didn't like and made it worse.
They took the Charger's ridiculous weight and added to it.
On top of that, the V8 only came with a slushbox 🤮 and salesmen tried to tell me that was what I wanted, which is the opposite of how you sell me things.

Mopar is also the same company that was begging for a bailout while Ford was turning one down.

Thus, I'm pretty sure Mopar's failure to sell cars is a poor indicator of whether Ford could sell a Mustang with a "shooting brake" profile and a more practical trunk.
Ya, selective memories. I guess.
Ford took billions in tarp funds, that not a dime got paid back.
All 3 Ford/gm/and dodge were in a world of hurt Ford just took a different type of money, and then closed the factories the Funds were for.
Mopar was swimming in cash , till M/B bought them and raped them of all billions in cash mother mopar had .
GMAC Dragged g.m. automotive down. And that was the mortgage part of the business that dragged them under. and we can't get into it here of whom forced banks and mortgage companies to hand out loans to those that should not get them.

Ford’s money, $5.9 billion was a loan not a handout. It was supposed to be paid off by June 2022. But that hasn’t happened yet.
This is from 2020 in the midst of the pandemic.

Of course $5.9B is just a drop in the bucket compared to Ford’s total debt.

They took billions in tarp funds, and not a dime is to be paid back. BILLIONS. Sorry, but some brand biased folks can't handle the truth. It was a bail out just in a different form.

Ford took loans not TARP funds. They have paid most of that back.

Ford didn’t take any money when that debacle was going on with Obama. The reference to helping Ford was little more then an attempt to try to save face with Chrysler and GM put out by the Government at the time. The correlation to it helping Ford was that they all(big three) used the same suppliers. Here you go.

No sir, they did not. Being insistent about something you’re wrong about is not a good look.

Ford didn't take a single dime in TARP funds.

"In September 2009, Ford entered into an agreement with the Department of Energy and borrowed $5.9 billion as part of a loan program created to finance automotive projects designed to help vehicles built in the U.S. meet higher mileage requirements and lessen U.S. dependence on foreign oil."

I'll try to find the link it was iirc 2006. It was posted in a thread on Team Chevelle forum back then. I'll have to find it. I don't even know if I remember my log in there.
