What is the best way to remove over the top or side stripes off the car? Any tips or tricks? Thinking about removing mine and going with a black wrap for the roof. Specifically removing the over the top ones and leaving the side, maybe.
Thoughts?

little bit of heat from dryer or heat gun, don t get crazy, just warm them up. Or park in hot sun. Grab edge and peal. Wipe down if glue remains.
If you get the temperature just right the glue may come off with decal, if not some may remain .

Hair dryer and some patience. Hair dryer is much more forgiving then a heat gun. But s heat gun works much quicker if your ok using it. 3m adhesive remover for any glue residue.

I had a dealer way back in 2016 with my 350 say it might leave a pattern if the stripes are removed. I ended up finding a black 350 without stripes, so I don't know for sure. Guess it would matter how long they have been on and has the car been in the sun much.

If the stripes haven’t been on there long you should be fine. I had a local vinyl shop remove mine since they do it for a living. They also know the proper temps to use and have the proper solvents to remove the adhesives.
Once they are off take the car to a professional detailer and have them do a single stage paint correction. That should remove any ghost lines on the car.

I used a hair dryer to pull the stripes on my GT350. Worked like a champ, they pulled right off with no issues. Did not leave a pattern.

There’s a couple of posts on here where Mach 1 owners have removed their stripes. Just peeled them off, no problems.

I used a heat gun "low" setting and a plastic putty knife to remove my side stripes. Just have some patience and go slow, there was no adhesive left on the paint and any reminisce of the side stripes was easily removed with a cleaner wax.
The stripes were on the car is Nevada heat for over a year and today you could not tell the car ever had stripes.

My favorite way to remove stripes is with a steamer.
