One of my vehicles has multiple admin keys. I could have sworn that a while ago, I was able to remove them via the cars interface. I went out there to attempt it and all I see is the option to add a mykey.

Does anyone know how to remove one of my admin keys?

I accidentally changed one of my Admin keys into a MyKey, after freaking out, I found out that you can clear a MyKey and it changes back into an Admin Key.

But I haven't been able to find out how they remove one

Wouldn't the process be the same? The directions to add one is you have to bring both admin keys to add the third key (when we were discussing it about programming), wouldn't going through the steps and bring the keys you want programmed remove the keys no longer there? I read that somewhere.

I went out and tried to get rid of one. I didn't see a way to do it. I thought I had in the past, but I guess my memory aint what it used to be.

Well what I read was you would "reprogram" the two keys you have and it should remove the missing key, the second I know (have not tried it) is using Forscan, third is the stealership.

Tom, my experience here is that if it isn’t programmed to be a MyKey then it defaults to an admin key. You need an admin key to remove a MyKey. When I sold my 2012 to my son, I only ever had one key. He got to messing around with everything the car could do and bam, he turned the only admin key we had into a MyKey. Of coarse thing may be different now.

I just spoke to a tech about this and he told me that the key can be deleted via IDS at the dealership. It doesn't matter to me much, but there was someone else who bought a car and saw there was 3 admin keys.
