By comparison, prices rose 8.5% over the previous one-year period in 2023.
Have to go back to the beginning. Eggs went from 1.50 to 5. A bag of chips went from 2.50 to 6. London broil's went from 7 to 23. and on and on and on

That chart is wrong. Groceries have gone up 40% or more. I suppose the rest are low balled too.
Keep in mind that it is Yay Who reporting so accuracy is not as important as the feeling.

the other inside info is that once you disable the data link, 200 key cycles wipes the ecu memory of when it was last flashed.
First time I've heard this, Sean. Did you get this from someone in Service that knows the vehicle?

Also (and probably a dumb question) but if you know, is a "key cycle" only On/Off with the switch or, does this routine only run after the engine is started?

That’s what my buddy told me whose family owns a local dealership. They don’t get a lot of that info it’s just what he’s heard in passing from ford corporate engineers that visit the dealership on bigger warranty issues. Key cycle doesn’t have to be engine running is what he said but he wasn’t 100% sure.

apparently with data link active when you flash the ecu it sends a combo of DTC codes to ford that indicates the ecu either failed or was flashed. He actually did show me these codes on my car on the ford system.

Thanks, Sean and my guess is, your friend has the straight skinny. Now, who is going to be the first to cycle the Oh Enn Oh Eff Eff switch 200 times? <BSEG>

My insurance on my mustang is $1300 per year. 50 yo male with clean driving record. Not sure if that’s a decent rate or not.

And how much is that switch, in case you wear it out?? :)

On a side, note, is there a reason I shouldn't just take that trunk module out?
Never hurts to lose even a lb or two on these "big girls".

Just got my renewal. $2,100 for two cars annually. My Mustang is ~$1,300. But I also have aftermarket/custom parts coverage on mine. Up to $5k (I would increase that if I had a blower on it). @Prodigal . Mid-40’s and clean driving record. I use FordPass also, so they could technically have my driving data

From what I know about the modem, Ox, I don't think there would be any negative implications from removing it for weight reduction.

I like to disassemble things.
The sub/box aren't that heavy. I changed my sub last fall to one that was substantially heavier due to the massive magnet.

Thinking of pulling the sub also, for track use.
I do that all the time. I believe the bracket is about as heavy as the sub itself.
