Got a question for you. I ordered the kit from CJ... installed everything and the struts are locked up. Damn near bent the hood trying to close.

Called up Roush got 2 more replacements and same exact thing. I find it hard to believe i got 4 bad struts from two different locations.

I did notice that all 4 strut ends were facing the same direction. I had to twist the stem end 180 degrees to attach. Are the bracket ball ends suppose to be opposite eachother?
Looks like the ball studs on the bottom face out and the hood ball studs face in. Make sure the pistons are on top (closer to the hood) or they won’t function properly

You made me curious so I went out in the garage and took a look. Kinda dark under the hood but I got a couple snap shots. Definite the bottom ball faces out and the top one faces in. Mine have been flawless and work beautiful. Mine were a little stiff at first but loosened up a little once I opened a few times.

Hey ho hey ho, hey ho, into the garage we go.. Roush, and same as above. Yours is a 2016, shouldn't be an issue.

Wondering if one of you guys with this Roush kit could snap a pic of the strut specs.

Mine are- 913241 0355N 154/21 C 28.

Found out that 355N means 80lbs. So i have two 80lbs struts for this aluminum hood?

Have the Ford Performance on my Mach 1, not happy, they tend to twist, next time I will spend a little extra and go with the Roush, the have two bottom mounting screws on each side so they won’t twist.
