Is burning oil at idle once warm normal? I’m at 600 miles with a P1X procharger, E85, cat delete, OPG, and open upr catch can setup. Put down 880 on a PBD tune. Would that be a valve guide? It’s mostly on the pass side exhaust. It’s a lot every time I leave from a stop.

Burning oil to the point that you see blue smoke is never normal
At idle would suspect valves seals
Usually rings do that under load

You have 600 miles on the car total? Per owners manual its normal to burn more oil than normal until you reach aprox 3K miles. I would not worry about it, keep driving it and monitor oil level.

How much oil is it burning? Are we talking multiple quarts within 1K miles?

Sorry but there is a big difference between using a bit of oil and burning oil to the point that you have blue smoke coming out of the pipes
Not normal at all, regardless of the mileage
And the break in period on which you could use more oil than normal involves the sealing of the rings on the cylinders walls, not the valves guide seals that seems to be the issue here
Obviously the engine having be highly modified, the issue could also be with install and having to much oil drawn in the intake manifold

Yes 600 total. Some days it’s not as bad but doesn’t do it under load or at startup.

It looks like mostly condensation but since he says it does it even while warmed up then might point to an issue.

One of the most common signs of a bad valve guide is smoke at startup. He says he does not get smoke at startup. I do agree on the possibility of the PCB system causing this.

Yea I had thought about how oil would be getting into the intake manifold. Like if I didn’t put it back together right and missed something? It all started after I put all mods on witch I did all at once. My PCV goes from both valve covers to a catch can that vents to atmosphere. Then I have the filtered breather for the oil cap. Then the old pvc port by throttle body is capped.

That much power I would say ringland. Do a compression/leak down test. What boost/pulley combo are you running to get that 880hp?

Burning oil is not normal at all. But, I’m only seeing normal condensation in the video - the “smoke” dissipates like water vapor. I’m not saying you aren’t burning oil but if what you’re seeing in the video is what is driving your concern, that would be paranoia rather than an actual mechanical problem.

It’s been overcast and humid here all week, but much warmer this afternoon. What water and oil temps did you have when you shot that video? Looks to me more like a half warm engine idling on a cold-ish morning.

BTW: That’s one badass setup.

Whose catch can and exactly how is it vented to atmosphere ?
Is your OEM PCV valve gutted ?

Some smoke when you're catless is fairly normal in my opinion, but it really seems to me like the motor isn't even broken in yet. I mean you literally threw boost at it before the rings even had time to seat completely lol. Especially with the trick cylinder liners that are extremely hard.

The passenger bank is the only one smoking a decent amount, so the offending cylinder is likely there.
