I know this one is odd, but I'm looking for one OEM 20 inch wheel or wheel and tire. In good condition with NO wheel rash/road rash. (I'm replacing a wheel with road rash). I'd be interested in just the wheel, or whatever else you would be willing to ship with it, tire, center cap and TPMS...
It won't go to the dealer at all. I have a local body shop that I semi-trust. Yes I will pursue the refinish route first. I'd be willing to bet they probably farm out wheel refinishing. Like I said I've gone down a similar route before when my wife curbed a wheel tire very similar to this...
I've had a similar situation years before with State Farm and didn't see my rates skyrocket when my wife slid into a curb on ice and messed up the wheel/tire and some suspension pieces. No tickets and we don't do points here in Illinois. I've been with State Farm for over 20 years and have...
Maybe, not sure if anyone is selling 4 20 inch stock rims for under 1000 right now or not.
Wrong wheel but thanks. ;)
I will see if it can be refinished or not. I've tried my hand at some basic sanding/smoothing/polishing of the lips of polished wheels that have gotten curb rashed before and...
Just checked online. 20 inch stock wheel at $1,067 from Ford. :(
Currently it is holding air and made it home 5 miles. But looking at it I don't trust it right now as it is gouged deep into the sidewall. I will ask about wheel refinishing when I take it in. I'll post up some pics later as...
I made the mistake the other day of saying to myself I've been almost a year without any cosmetic damage. So what do I go and do today? Barely nudge a 2 inch curb at about a mile per hour picking up my son from school. Yep ripped the stock Pirelli about 4 inches long and curb rashed the rim...
The scary thing if you are an owner and lets say a tree branch falls and smashes the rear spoiler and you take it in for an estimate and insurance sees it costs 12 grand for a spoiler. Guess who's rates are going to skyrocket? That can't be the actual price of the item. I'm going to say an...
Thanks. Droid really put the work in on it though. I just tried to be the squeaky wheel.
Thanks all for sharing. I will get this done sometime this Fall. Of course there is no hurry now as temps are falling. Whatever a big… :clap2::clap2::clap2:
Props to GM for keeping the weights down on those trims, but……
I'm still waiting for 1LT manual and 1SS automatic as well as 2LT and 2SS manual AND automatic weights. Lets see if they make that 200 pound loss on those trims as well. Interesting how they weren't listed isn't it. :)
I also see...
I'm just going to post this up again from the GM media site and the recent information release just so no one can try to weasel their way out of what was said.
I saw that, freakin' hilarious. Looks like he's sitting in a bunker staring out a gun slit. Good luck getting out the window of one of those in a wreck. They'll have to use the jaws of life in any accident that jams the doors.
Yep and that is if they tell us the truth when they finally release the weights. I fully expect them to release one trim weight at a time and not disclose 1SS and 2SS weights until they are on dealer lots.
