DA is huge on a stock n/a car. You’ll pick up 4-5 tenths and 4-5 mph easy on a 500ft DA day vs 3500DA Ive tested and tested this.

That definitely looks right. And as he works on those 60ft times he'll be knocking on 11s door.

Do you know what has the biggest effect on DA? I can’t change my altitude so will I need to wait for cooler temps to get a quality run?

You can reduce your DA below you actual altitude. Perfect DA comes at sea level, 59 degrees 29.92 barometric pressure and 0% humidity. Temp and humidity are your biggest factors I would assume in the summer in Oklahoma.

I'm late to the reply

Noble elevation is about 1200 ft above sea level, Tulsa is 500 ft above. The DA's are drastically different as well. Noble's da seems to be above 1400 normally

Several have said it here but with the posted 60' times, there is a lot being left on the table due to traction loss. DRs would help tremendously here. No sense adding power with e85 if you can't put the power down. BMR CB010 + CB762 (what I have) or Steeda stop the hop with a good set of drag radials will give you a good base. From there, add power with e85 and at least you'll be able to use it all in drag mode.

I only ever made 1 pass on the stock Pirelli tires and only managed a 2.0 60' in drag mode, driving around the water box, small burnout to clean them off, and holding revs around 1500 rolling into the throttle but had bad wheel spin 1-2, 2-3, and 3-4 shifts. Next time out on DRs, cut a 1.85 60'. Added BMR components, front running skinnies, did some minor weight reduction, and in good weather got 60' down to 1.79 on stock tune.

DA does also play a role. 3% of a 400 hp car is 12hp for ever 1000'. If you can get some 500' runs, that's an estimated extra 36 hp vs your runs in 3500 DA.

Traction, traction, traction though!

Best advice on the thread! Honestly, I'm clueless about these new Mustangs and their chassis. I traded cars for guitars back in the early 2000's. I did however campaign a pretty successful 9.90 car for almost 15 years. Getting the car to consistently launch and 60' took more time and $$$ than one could imagine! It hooked and went straight every F'n time! It started as a 14 second car. To go from mid 2.0's to high 1.40's, 60' times took years!! These Mustangs are over 1000 lbs. heavier and have IRS and AOD transmissions vs. 2400 lbs and a C4, solid axle with either a 4:88 or 5:13 gear. Again....get the car to hook then add the power.
