Ford Performance Tune for 2018+ GT

I was just looking at the Ford Performance website and noticed this. I'm fairly certain it said 50 state legal when I bought it and in the overview it states as before: "Ford Performance calibration is 50 state emissions legal with CARB EO (D-752-9)"

Is this concerning to anyone else?

More importantly, when are you installing? Interested to hear your thoughts. I have the box, but having it installed by ASE shop in 3 weeks.

The shop that I’m having it installed at will be doing a before/after dyno, but I’m after low end torque and shifting improvement.. will follow up when completed though, about 3 weeks.

Numbers are great, would love to see more dyno's done. On the other hand the butt dyno can feel it for sure. It's much more lively with the this kit installed.

Here's a wider shot of mine before, I drew a red line to the right of the harness that splits off from my MAF harness and leads to the "blank" connector.

Maybe I'm pre-wired for magneride? I know there was some discussion of some cars having that.

So nobody else had this separate harness coming off the MAF harness leading to a seemingly unused gray connector?

. apparently if you unplug this "end plug" it disables all traction and stability systems. I just asked this question recently myself.

There will be CARB approval soon for all 50 states.

I've had it installed for over a year now and very happy with it.

When I posted about it being 49 state legal I hadn't thought it through enough to realize that was just for the 2021 models. My original thought was that California pulled the EO# because that's something I could see them doing.

The issue is Ford went for 2018-2020 CARB approval. They need to resubmit every time they go beyond the date range.

Just an FYI, I have been in touch with Ford Racing, the kit is submitted for CARB Approval for the 2021 MY. They said should be coming soon.

I installed the kit on my GT this weekend. It gives a nice SOTP improvement. I noticed a couple of things about the kit i haven't read yet.

The throttle body adapter necks down to a mm or two smaller than the opening in the manifold. I'm assuming this is by design since it's a machined part.

Also, the TB is rotated about 10 degrees compared to stock. This is due to the adapter using the stock manifold bolt locations.

Anyway, I'm happy with it so far.

The adapter has been brought up. A tapered bore on the throttle body is a technique used to increase air velocity. It supposedly increases power all around without any tradeoffs. Albeit not significant but free gains is free.
