Didn't want to get caught up in this panic buying, but I'd thought I'd start looking locally for one before I bring the car out of storage.
I managed to buy one($40) at the Mazda dealer, where I have my car serviced. Though it's a Mazda dealer, they do the service work for the Ford dealer where I bought my car.
Then I called my local dealer also. They said they were out of them, with no time frame when they may become available again. But they told me a dealer in Queens(17 miles away) showed 16 in stock. So I called them, and sure enough they had in stock, also at $40. I asked if they do the online ordering through the PartsFord site, and they confirmed they do. So I went online, and saw they sell it for $34.66, and ordered one. So if it goes through, I'll have 2. If not I at least have one on hand.

Beware of idiots
I try, but as many of you know, I sometimes fail. I have received several requests for filters and I am trying to give them to folks based upon seniority/participation at this forum. I have 3 left that are unspoken for. If I don't get requests from people who are more senior here, I will let them go to the up and coming of our community.
I wish I had a thousand of these things so that everyone can have one.

when the GT350 was converted to a cartridge filter the 2062 was the factory element early on. you will probably be fine but if your owners manual say to run the 2087 I would keep the old on incase you need to file a big warranty claim.

I was lucky as I was able to secure 2 of them for cost. Both from two different service/parts center that are the dealer I purchased my car from. I did have to drive 30 minutes away for one of them. And they were reluctant to sell them to me, but only did because I purchased the car from the dealership. So I should be good for at least a year now.
