Picked up my Mach 1 in December. Due to winter it has been stored until now. Before storage i managed to do only 145km. (90 miles). It still has the factory break-in oil. When do you think i should do the first oil change? Wait until i hit 3000km or end of June which ever comes first?

I did mine at 1k. Put the “race” oil filter from ford performance on too, it’s about twice the size of the stock filter…

I am at 3300 miles, all pretty easy miles and I am showing 15% oil life remaining. I guess the pretty easy must be a relative term...……..

It’s factoring in time also isn’t it?

It hasn't even been a year. You'll be fine. Drive it a bit then change it out after 3,000 miles or so to get all the metal shavings out. After that change yearly or 8-10k based on your oil life monitor.

Honest question, what's the purpose of the Ford Racing oil filter when the manual says to use the regular FL-500S? Just looking for some education here.

Because race car.

in all seriousness I don’t know but it was mentioned earlier 50% more filtering capacity I think? I’m going to try and read up on this filter today because I need to do my first change soon

I still have 3 filters left over from my 2017 GT when I bought a set of 5 of them for about $40 I think. I'll probably continue to use those. I could see using it for a dedicated track car but for street use I don't think you're going to see much of a difference except higher costs for the filters.
