So once again, I'm looking for opinions on something hope it doesn't turn into the shit show the tire thread turned into ...๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™„

Anyone know of anyone that has installed one of these - or actually has one on their car - if so what's the verdict ...?

I have limited experience with the pan in question. I currently run the 20574 drag pan. When I ordered it, the 20576 pan was in the box. The 20576 is the aluminum version of the 20571 road race pan you are looking at.

The drag pan and road race are the same externally. The difference is in the pickup location. The drag pan has the pickup and baffling at the rear of the sump, the road race at the front of the sump. The fit and finish is excellent on the aluminum version, not sure on the steel. Pan is same depth as stock, although wider at the sump. Zero clearance issues with larger sump, plenty of room everywhere. RR pan on left, drag on right.

Those do look worth the money from the build quality picture.

@80FoxCoupe did you have a reason to change pans from stock? Or wanted something more performance oriented?

There is no baffling in a gen2 pan. I wanted more oil control and capacity.

More capacity - and plastic just makes me skittish thanks for the comments

The drain plug appears to be located fairly highโ€ฆprobably wonโ€™t make a difference in draining when cars up on ramps.

I believe someone also makes a replacement metal A10 trans pan as well

Drain looks fairly high on the pic I posted? That's the oil level sensor port...

I have read in the Track mustangs online forum that quite a few have used it for road course/racing applications. Havenโ€™t seen too much about it here. Donโ€™t know if itโ€™s against the rules to link another forum

If you are replacing the plastic pan go with the 2024 Pan. Ford changed pans for a reason.
