Good catch before it really turned bad. Looks like you’re sneaking a lot of really beneficial parts onto the car. Great choice on the motor mounts btw. I see you had the dealer set them up in the drag race configuration. Did you use a through bolt kit with your differential bushings?

Started mods yesterday and picked up the car today. Suspension done by race car driver and best suspension guy in 6 states. Started with lowering springs.

It doesn't look like it in the photos but it's much lower.
BMR Racing springs.

Did Steeda bushings.

The dealer did the Steeda motor Mounts so the tower brace could be installed.

Damn local dealer charged me $75 to retorque them during oil change.

Got the Lethal Performance IRS brace kit.

Started driving the car along country twisties and suddenly I heard a grinding when I hit the brakes. Immediately headed back to the shop. Drove like 10mph and used paddle Shifters to slow down.

Turns out the right front caliper was coming off. The owner kinda freaked as he'd only seen that once and it was on a race car. They used blue locktite but the bolt came out and flew down the road somewhere.

The used another bolt and used red locktite on everything and rechecked the torque on every bolt.

Lemme tell ya I was shaking a little as it scared me so bad.

The car also had huge noises from the suspension which the guy said was normal.

After 20 miles all the noises went away. It's super quiet. But it drives like a demon glued to the road.

That was my day.

How was yours?
My day was great. Mach 1 stayed in the garage. It was raining. I don't want diminished value ......... 🙄

Agree. They totally screwed up. They flat out didn’t tighten the bolt.

The guy who does the next brake job is going to curse the knucklehead that used the red stuff this time.
Uh huh. Worse, they will most likely have to heat the poo poo out of the bolt to brake (pun) it free .......

Well, not sure exactly what happened. I was standing there watching the whole time. They showed me the other bolt. The blue locktite was coming off part of the bolt.

I trust this shop as they did big $$$ upgrades to my C7 and everything was always A+.. Shit happens. Any brake job down the road will be done by them anyway so it's they're problem to worry about the red locktite.

Are you setting the car up to be a canyon carver, or a mix of canyon carving and drag racing?

Nah, it’s negligence. Aproperly torqued bolt doesn’t just work loose a few miles down the road. They are lying to you on top of it.

Never trust them.

Sorry don't know what a canyon carver is?
I will be going to VIR and possibly the drag strip although I'm a little paranoid about snapping by drive sharts.

When I was driving Tail of the Dragon my rear end would whip out. After these mods I am planted like a Pancake. I was taking twjsties at 3 times posted limit today. I'm not an idiot. I know how to drive. I'm very good.

My only other mod is Castor/Camber plates going on next week.

So, along with the Mishimoto coolant tank and hoses that will be extent of my mods.

Fo now. 😁

Consider that the best 75 bucks spent, and lucky it was found
Cheers :champagne:
Tip the dealer
There was nothing to be found. They said the bolts were fine and didn't need retorquing but they still charged me.

You are not going to snap the half shats.

Did you have front springs done too ? If yes, why not wait for the camber plates and do them together (since now someone will have to take struts apart again) ?
