Best bang for the buck first mods IMO are a strut tower brace (handling), CAI with a tune (mo powa baby), and a resonator delete with either an X or H pipe (sound). If you still want to mod the rear suspension is a good starting point. BMR or Steeda have several options depending on your goals. Depending on your model springs, wheels and tires will have the largest impact around the autocross or race track out of the gate - Driver mod is the best modification(training!).

Not the sexiest mod, but tires are arguably the most important mod. What tires/sizes are on the car now?

Hey there! Welcome, and congrats on your new ride!

For first mods, you can't really go wrong with a cold air intake kit, and some exhaust! No tune required and it'll certainly wake it up!

Be more than happy to get you taken care of here at www.lethalperformance.com !

Check out the site and if you have any questions; feel free to shoot me a message! Thanks!

Welcome and congrats on your new ride!
Basics to consider: window tint, mud flaps, floor mats, spare tire. Air filter, Radar detector. Jacking rails.

Get the Ford Performance strut tower brace along with the cowl brace. Part number M-20201-MA

That along with BMR level 2 IRS lockout and a BMR subframe brace really tightened up my non performance pack GT and made it feel so much better, especially on uneven pavement.

Can't go wrong with JLT or PMAS in my opinion. More of what's your style and cup of tea. I run PMAS personally on my truck and really like it.

Just make sure which one that you do choose, it says no tune required otherwise you will need one to run it.

I'd suggest going275/35-20 on all 4 corners. Michelin Pilot Sport 4S or Conti Extreme Contact Sport 02's are both amazing tires.

245 front tires, yech.

PP1 cars come with 255s and any half decent modified mustang has at least a 275 up front. The easy button is square 19x10 ET35 or 20x10 ET35 wheels with 285 tires on all four corners.

Anyway my vote is some decent lightweight wheels and great tires. The work the engine, suspension, and brakes do, all that work is delivered by the tires.

Pass on the braces and intakes. Its not worth the money. If 400hp isnt enough, 405hp wont be enough either. Most of the braces are extremely negligible effect. Heck most of the “cold air intakes” are worse at launch because they’re sucking in hot engine bay air. With a tune, maybe. Without a tune, hard pass.

Wheels and tires, a tint, and getting an exhaust you like are the most fun basic mods which you’ll notice every time you drive.

Disagree with everyone who has said that braces are useless. How can tying the two sides of your car (shock towers) to the fire wall be of no benefit?

You’ve created a giant rigid triangle. No more flex.

My car is a base 2016 GT. There’s train tracks that I have to cross if I want to get to the next town over. Before I got any braces my front end would have at least a dozen simultaneous vertical and horizontal movements. Significant movements too.

After installing the firewall connector, the upper K-brace, the aluminum GT350 strut tower brace and the lower K-brace, going over those tracks became a one-and-done affair. Only compression from the spring and rebound from the shock.
