Hello everyone !

Anyone here running a Sai Li return style fuel system along the ESS Supercharger (or any boosted application) and what numbers are you seeing ?
Is it possible to break 1000whp (they claim 1100whp) ?

I have a 2019 Mustang GT A10R80
ESS G3 w/ G4 intercooler 110mm pulley
3” long tube headers & steeda x-pipe
Sai Li return style fuel system
Sai Li billet high flow rails
305/45/17 MT ET R
Lund tune E85

haven’t dynoed yet but I’m running high 5s 60-130

anyone here making 1000+ on this fuel system and what does your set up look like ?

Hey this is Junior from N4SM, this is my Vortech car at about 850whp. I had the Sai Li system on it and it wasn't enough. Lund had to dial back my tune because of the fuel system. Ended up going with a Fore Innovations dual pump and haven't had any issues since. Sai Li is a good system but Fore innovations is the way to go.

Mine tapped out at about 750 wheel (whipple set up) the car has having to add fuel in my logs. Went to a FORE system and no issues since then 3 years ago still using the same FORE system now with my ESS.

2018+ dual fuel cars will get further with the Sai Li system. Even further if turbo. Blowers are not as efficient so you'll lose some capability.

I made 920whp on twin 67's at 13 psi with plenty of headroom left on SL fuel system and 1050x's. Car is a 2018.

That is true. Mine is a Gen 2 so I dont have direct injection.

You'll start to run out of fuel system. There is a clear reason why Lund recommends a Fore dual-pump system with 2x 285 pumps. What injectors are you running? ID1050X?

At WOT, the DI is not really doing anything for power.

Are you looking to pulley down? You shouldn’t be anywhere near 1k on the 110mm. If you’re looking to drop sizes until you get near 1k, just drop one size at a time and monitor your fueling parameters. Also 1k on the G3 is going to be over spinning it.

From the factory, at WOT, the DI handles ALL of the fuel delivery. Not sure where you got that info.

So realistically, the DI on dual fuel cars can support 400whp on it's own. Add SL fuel system and 1050's that will support 850-900whp on a 11-17 coyote and theoretically a 2018+ car will be fine at 1100whp with Sai Li and probably good to 1200 if turbos. Blower should be just fine at 1000.

Have I done it? Nope, but the math is what it is.

All I can post is my own personal experience and I’m finding that the gen3 fuel systems will support a lot more than most believe.

I have a Whipple Mustang at 16 psi boost running e85 on a single dw400/bap and 55 lb gt500 injectors. It’s borderline but it works.

I also have a Roush f-150 at 12 psi boost running e85 on a single stock f-150 fuel pump and no bap, stock Roush 47 lb injectors and it works as well even at .68 lambda.

My disclaimer is that I’ve maximized the gdi system which takes some load off the port injectors, and on the truck it increase system voltage to 15.2 volts under high fuel flow conditions (pseudo-bap).

Keep in mind also that the Gen3 automatically extends injector pw to compensate for below-spec fuel pressure, and will actually cut throttle before it goes lean if fuel demand exceeds supply (unless your tuner did you a “favor” and turned this protection off).
