As long as you could keep combustion temperatures down with 87 and the other mods. The cost difference between the fuel grades is almost negligible though compared to gains you'd have while being safer.I said basically, and did not mean literally, as I do not know the specifics about how it works. All I do know is that you can run a 100 octane tune using it with 93, with a properly set up water/methanol kit. So running it with 87 would be like running 93 except keeping your intake valves cleaner. It will not get rid of all the potential carbon build up, but it will reduce it for sure.
