This is a picture from a typical Saturday at my house when the kids were growing up, load up the kids and go to get an ice cream cone or fries and a milkshake. We would either take one of my classic Mustangs or one of my new Mustangs. When I got home I would clean up any spilt food, ice cream drips or sticky fingerprints on the paint. I have long forgotten the clean ups, but the memories go on for a long time! Enjoy your cars and those you love!

These threads give me anxiety about it even. No food ever...maybe groceries on the rare occasion but I generally don't leave my car in parking lots other than work if I can avoid it. It's not even a good "date" car because I have to sit at a window where I can see it. The wife used to complain when I had a GT500 till she saw people all over the car to take pictures and I had to run out to "get off my lawn" some folks. I keep saying my next car is going to be an unpainted tank of some sort so I won't worry or care about these things anymore.
I hear you on the date car thing. Went to Ruth's Chris on Saturday and I make sure the valet has it right up front by the entrance. I usually don't have to ask as they have spots reserved up front and they know who's going to be parked in those.

Snacks like peanuts, candy, and drinks in a bottle or other spill proof container, yes. Hamburgers, hotdogs, and such, HELL NO!

Valet is more anxiety. Last time I went someplace with valet was when I had the GT500 and I stood at the front of the place till I saw the car parked. We did enjoy our time there with great food, massages, and spa treatments overlooking a waterfall but I did go out several times to make sure my car wasn't moved. I'm just not the one who can toss car keys at whoever and not give it a second thought. It's tough being abnormal lol

You just care about your rides that's all. I figure if someone is going to joyride a car it won't be mine with all the Porches and M's in the lot. I could be wrong but so far so good.

You'd love valet mode in the Charger. It legit KILLS the power. Like 0-60 in about 30 seconds.
That would be awesome. I don't know why more companies use this feature especially when you are spending a lot of money.

You and @Mikthehun1 make fair points. I blame my dad who is the same way and all the movies like Ferris Bueller's Day Off. I get annoyed at my mirrors and seat being changed when the person at the tire shop pulls the car into the bay. I would like to test the theory of having more money than I could spend to see if these things still bothered me...

Last time I went somewhere with valet parking, I had to park it. None of the valets could drive a manual.
And this would put me at ease quite a bit I think.

I'm friends with people who have valeted for casinos and the like. You wouldn't want them to drive it if they could. You know the parking garage scene in Tokyo Drift? Think that, but without all the Japanese models hanging around.
Do they have a "DK" pin or something they pass around?

Rarely but on occasion. Not super anal about it, things clean up.
I think the most anal I am is when I go on a business trip I take a pic of the odometer. Wife can't/wont drive it and I trust her, but some of her friends...

Does eating next to the car count? Sometimes I'll eat lunch in my garage while looking at the car.
