Honestly, no clue yet, I’m running the smallest pulley for now (125 mm), so it shouldn’t be anything crazy. It’s G3X with headers and e85.
I mounted it in the trunk up on the decklid area. I already had power wires ran for my previous controller, so I just wired them into Anderson connectors so I could easily swap them out.
For now -- yes, since it's not getting hot at all and only warm to the touch. I'll reassess its' temperature next summer but as you've mentioned already, there's not much space available to mount it, unfortunately.Where is the best place to mount the Aeromotive/Vaporworx controller? Their instructions state close to the battery, but not near heat sources. I don't think under the hood is ideal and I have no real room there anyway.

OK, perfect. That's exactly where I was thinking of putting it. Not exactly close to the battery, but as long as the wire is up to the task, no worries I suppose. I already have some good size power wires going from my pumps to the fuse box under the hood with 25amp fuses. really 8AWG wire would do the trick. Vaporworx wants your ground wire to be a homerun to the battery as well. I had 4 AWG already installed, so I just reduced it but definitely overkill for this controller. I mounted the MAP sensor under the plastic radiator shroud/cover, so that my boost reference was as short as possible to my vacuum block. The wiring for the MAP sensor they provide will easily reach anywhere in the car.
Great info! It seems they want everything ran directly to the battery. I need to figure out the MAP sensor with this Gen5 whipple. I know I have an unused 1/8" NPT port on the back of the blower, but not a 'GM style' map sensor port (at least I don't think there is one). I can't be the first guy, so maybe there is an adapter of sorts I could use.
Just mount the MAP sensor wherever, and run vacuum line to that port and use a 1/8" NPT to barbed fitting. Same as what will be on the MAP sensor mounting block
Ah! Easy enough! Didn't realize the kit came with a MAP sensor mounting block (I should have studied the pictures better). I will probably swap the barb fitting out for a push to connect fitting. Similar to what I use for boost reference on my regulator. I just like them better for some reason. Thanks for the help @SheepDog !
