Yeah, I really wish it was in a different spot. I just went with their suggestion of putting in there and didnāt think much about it. Go to bolt that plate back, immediately hated it. But like you, I sure donāt feel like redoing any fuel lines at this point. Iām hopeful Iāll get it sorted...
Good option! Iād need to shim that plate out a decent amount to fit that in there. Itās so tight where the Y adapter is.
I did order some foam insulation tape that you can use for windows and doors. LOL Might try to put some on the body and back of the plate. Wrap some around the Y block too...
Iām stage 3 using my existing Whipple rails. Oh itās secure, itās tight against the car and the plate. Too tight against the car I think is the issue.
Since we have a few Arcane stage 3 folks in this thread, quick question - I got that Y adapter pretty well sandwiched in the driver wheel well between that plate and the body of the car. It seems to be transmitting a bunch of noise into the car. At speed it seems fine, but at idle there is...
I hate to say it because I'm not a Facebook person, but there are usually e85 groups where people share test results and good stations etc. There is one for Michigan:

Amazing! Agree, you should probably buy a lotto ticket. I still have pictures on my phone from 10 years ago of a few that we broke when doing plugs on my wifeās 2007 4.6 3V Explorer. I think 4 of 8 broke. What a nightmare that was!
Car looks nice, enjoy it!
Just got my car running after installing the Arcane stage 3 kit. I just wanted to chime in and say Iāve officially joined the barking seal club! š It must be that DeatschWerks regulator (aka barking seal) saying hello before you start the car.
I called Tremec and asked them about fluid recommendations. The tech I spoke with told me they only tested with Mobil 1 synthetic ATF and their house stuff. I could not get their brand fluid at the time which is why I went the Mobil 1 route.
I bought my swap kit form Modern Driveline and it came with Amsoil synthetic ATF. I changed it after 1000 miles or so and put in Mobil 1 synthetic ATF. There was no discernible difference between the two fluids from how the trans performed.
When I change it again Iāll probably try Temecās house...
I have the 2.97 wide ratio with 4.09 gears in my Whipple car. Around town, first gear is a bit short, but tolerable. That 3-4 shift at the track thoughā¦it SUCKS. The 2.97 first does help get this heavy car off the line with decent 60ā times. That said, the car would still probably be faster at...
Get a new flywheel or have your stock flywheel resurfaced. Although it seems tough to find a shop that resurfaces flywheels these days. You want a fresh/clean surface for the new clutch to mate too.
All depends on how you drive and use the car. My MT82 survived around town most likely due to lack of traction. It broke on the 5th pass at the drag strip. I'm a firm believer of don't bother with a power adder if you will not be able to do the supporting mods.
What fun is it going the power...
I just did this today. Didnāt install a Fore system, but same issue in that spot. Thanks to @Brian-17S550 who gave me some tips. Here is what I did that worked well.
Go with this striaght fitting: Dorman 800-411
Buy some 3/4ā 90* heater hose and trim to fit: Dayco 80411
Then a 3/4ā connector to...
Read this thread - ended up being the T nut was flipped:

Stick car? Third gear I assume? My Nitto 555R2 drag radials can hold third at WOT no problem. They are starting to get pretty worn out, so debating what my next set will be.
