Like Tob said, there is plenty of clearance and it does not affect the mechanical movement. When Kevin was creating this "shifter crown" as he calls it, he designed in a little extra clearance for people like myself, Eric and others that have the top of our consoles covered in Alcantara. Kevin didn't have access to a GT500 so I sent him a DTC controller so he could take exact measurements of the dial and my console was the one used for test fitting the clearance.

I like to disassemble things.
"Metal" works. Plastic just doesn't give you that same impression and I sense you feel the same way.

Really enjoying the DCT dial "crown" I got from you by the way. That piece is what should have come on the car.

I plan to upgrade the switches on my 2020 BULLITT to metal ones which should also fit the 2020-21 GT500's.

Interested to know what you meant by 'more authentic' toggles...
Now that I'd be interested in very much.

Great to hear and thanks for the feedback.

Credit must also go to @marklboris for his effort and guidance during the development process.

Mark, it was a pleasure working with you.

I am so happy with mine. I have zero regrets, it adds a real nice look and feel to the car to set it apart from the rest.

OK.

Thank you Mark for facilitating the development of a GT500 DCT dial crown that mitigates the uber cheesiness that some interior designer at Ford felt was such a good idea. While the Fusion served a purpose in Ford's lineup, the plastic/chrome dial from it was a poor choice for the 760 horse behemoth. It might look good as an ornament on a Christmas tree but not so much atop the well done DCT. Aftermarket 1, lame Ford design choice, 0.

For as long as I have known him, Mark has been a class guy.

If this is the case, thank you Mark.

Thanks everyone and especially Kevin. It was fun working with you and if we weren't so far apart, we could have had the project done sooner. Sending bits and pieces back and forth over the pond took awhile.

So what is this I hear about you creating some metal switches?

There might be an opportunity to adjust the activation to a firmer toggle action which gives a crisp metallic sound similar to the toggle switches used on race cars and aircraft. Have to look into it when the car arrives.

The click might be good, but please don't remind me of being in another aircraft.

To bad that Ford didn't take the extra step and give the toggle switches the ability to go both ways,, forward and backward. It would be nice to be able to switch to the previous mode in one flick of the switch.

Just as keeping the last mode the car was in after turning off the car has been begged for after the '15's were released and we were trying to figure if there was a way to enable this by using forscan.

My immediate thought when I saw the image, Tom.

Kevin: Tried to find what I had in mind on the Web and failed, this is the closest.
