I wonder if "social distancing" is a plausible rationalization for elevated rates of speed?
Just passed 1200 miles and the wide open throttle in it is def a social distancing experience. Haha

Governor finally shut down Washington State this evening. Hopefully Federal PPE Caches arrive tomorrow as the commercial market is drying up. Should be an interesting week.

Lookin' for some :sun:.

Compare and contrast with the blithering idiot (or psychopath) that is the PA governor.
PA: 100% Shutdown of EMERGENCY Dental Procedures
On March 22, the Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) released new guidance stating that dental facilities and offices must close immediately, even for emergencies, if they do not have all of the following protective equipment and protocol in place:

• All personnel must follow proper protocol when donning and doffing personal protective equipment (PPE).

• All personnel must use N95 masks or higher; goggles or a face-shield covering face and sides; disposable gowns and gloves.

Treatment must be provided in negative pressure isolation rooms with HEPA filtration.

You do realize that the Netherlands shut down one week after that speech (of course you do). The current rules there are true of all of Europe. The first bolded section gives an idea of enforcement measures (cheaper in NL than other places) the last bolded section lets you know the Dutch are serious! :)

https://www.dutchnews.nl/news/2020/03/coronavirus-in-the-netherlands-new-government-measures/

The Dutch government introduced a raft of new measures to combat coronavirus on March 23.
These include:
- All gatherings to be banned up to June 1, but an exception will be made for funerals and church weddings.
- People should remain home unless they have to go out to work, to do shopping or to care for other people.
- You can go out for a walk, but not in a group.
- Keep 1.5 metres away from other people.
- No more than three people should visit in your home at the same time, and only then if they can keep 1.5 metres apart
- If any member of a family is ill, the entire family should stay home, apart from people in an essential profession
- Shops and public transport companies must take measures to ensure people remain 1.5 metres apart.
- Companies which do not comply can be fined €4,000
- Services which involve direct contact with others, such as hair dressers and nail bars, are closed until April 6.
- Mayors have the power to close areas where people gather in larger groups, such as parks and beaches.
- People who do not stick to the rules can be fined €400.

Earlier measures include:
- Schools and daycare centres are to be closed up to and including April 6
- Schools and daycare centres will provide supervision for the children of healthcare, public transport and emergency service workers, so they can continue to work.
- Teachers will organise distance learning for children who are at home, with priority for children who are due to take final exams this year.
- Cafes and restaurants, but not hotels, are closed up to and including April 6 Sports clubs, fitness centres, gyms and sex clubs to close up to and including April 6
- Work from home if possible or stagger your working times.

- Ministers have said they will announce whether measures introduced to run up to April 6 will be extended within ‘plenty of time’.

I do go out and I still shake people's hands.
And if I am infected, its because of selfish people like you.
You don't get infected by shaking hands, unless you put your hand in your mouth or on your face afterwards. Which is something you shouldn't do anyway, with or without the Covid threat.

Yea...

and how many people don’t wash their hands after shitting, pissing, (picking nose, putting fingers in mouth or other orifices) - the same that still shake hands and then proceed to touch door handles, various other touch points and then the shaker and shakee touch not only their own faces, but most likely those of their wives, girlfriends, boyfriends, children and who knows else....

So now you don’t only have shit and piss being transferred but COVID19 in the same hand shake from the same people that just don’t wash their hands... multiply and multiple and multiply...

The virus is transferable IF the infected person has licked, kissed, sneezed on or coughed on their hands and has touched a surface OR IF the infected person has licked, kissed, sneezed on or coughed on another person OR IF a “clean” person has touched an infected surface; it lives on surfaces for x-days - there’s already confirmed notes online that give COVID19 life span dependent upon type of surface material.

Continuing to assume everyone follows proper hygiene and ignoring the social distancing warnings is like watching the Bumbling Child give a National Press Briefing spewing hyperbole over facts - can’t fix ignorance. As another member said above though, that’s for a different discussion.

A lot. But that's beside the point. The point is, if I'm infected and shake hands with you, does that mean I've infected you? Not if you wash your hands after that. If you don't, well, that's your fault, not mine.
After all, what good is not shaking hands, if we're going to touch the same door handle, or shopping trolley, or ATM machine, or petrol pump, perhaps without even knowing of one another? Why is a person who shakes hands a selfish moron?
Under the current circumstances, you must wash your hands after touching anything in public, including other people's hands. If you don't, then you get infected, but you only have yourself to blame. A man who shook hands with you is no more to blame than someone who happens to have touched something before you did.

I know that. A lot of people cant stop touching their face, which is the problem. Or what if you have a small cut on your hand?

Thanks

Then don't shake hands with anybody until your cut is healed. Or don't touch anything in public if you can't stop touching your face. Problem solved.

You often have no choice but to touch doors, etc. You always have a choice to or not to shake hands. Simple.

With this COVID-19 VIRUS now circling the globe do you foresee a delay in our cars??? If we do I can live with it knowing the total chaos that is now happening. I just didn't see any news on Ford shutting down so thought I would ask you guys. My car is scheduled to be built the week of March 23rd thru 27th. Also seeing posts on the screws for the Gurney Flap. I assume the "correct" ones are included in the box that Ford will send with it????? I ordered my car on the first day that the order banks opened in early July of last year so needless to say I have fine tuned my patience. LOL Hope everybody out there is "Safe & Sound" during these very rough times. Hope you all have ample toilet paper too.
My car has been built since 3-3-2020 and has been waiting for transport to my dealer. It is scheduled to arrive 3-29-2020 but I just got a call from my dealer with some bad news. Ford just notified my dealer that their shipping facility is closed until further notice and that no cars are leaving. I guess we will not see any new cars until this ends?
