I feel like there are a lot of holes in the statute which seems open to wide interpretation. I personally would not use deadly force unless my life was in immediate danger. The $16,000 it will cost me to go buy a new carbon fiber wing is a shit ton less than the fees I will have to pay to lawyers defending myself in court

I’m also a licensed carrier in Florida but I won’t be flashing a gun if someone is messing with my car. Now, if I yell at them and they decide to come after me….well, you know what they say, FAFO.

I like to disassemble things.
Oh I understand that, but it stops the passerby from being able to do anything, and if your walking around with that someones going to know your up to no good.
I'm in agreement. Ford apparently thinks nobody steals things anymore and their lack of even attempting simple measures to make things more difficult are readily apparent. Witness a Ford corporate lot in Michigan recently...

Finally got my trunk lid painted, striped and installed for my brand spanking new wing. Things are getting exciting.

Wing is still there!!! Proof of it's theft proof design.
No thats cause that is a cheap plastic, and also the screws are in the trunk and not exposed like the carbon fiber.

Curious why they didn’t drill it first. The paint in the holes would help prevent corrosion.

I wanted that to happen but the trunk lid was off site getting painted and the person who does all the assembly was away on vacation. Wasn’t worth delaying the timeline any longer than it is already.

The wing they are installing for me will be coming off before it leaves SA. I have a brand new wing delivering next week to put on the car.

The car is getting full PPF and ceramic coating shortly after landing in my driveway. I will coat the holes with paint before I install the freshly PPF’d wing on the car. I will also make rubber gaskets for the pedestals (thanks again @Epiphany).

That's because it's a different union. Wheel scumbags don't mess with wing scumbags.

Then again, one well-placed round "nearby" might be enough. That's my theory anyway but in any case, armed beats the hell out of helpless.
Warning shots are actually worse than shooting with intent to kill as a result of property being stolen, as far as court is concerned. Where I live, if someone is stealing your property that's valued at or above $1,000, you can meet them with deadly force. But warning shots in any court are considered a negligent discharge and you can be charged with public endangerment, alongside other charges.

Lol one to center mass is a good warning shot.

If you try to take my property and I'm able to intervene I will. I don't like the role of a victim. You can either face the King's justice or you can face mine. If you don't want to wait for state agents then my justice it is. Which would be unfortunate cause one of us is probably going to leave horizontally. Might be them, might be me. But we're gonna find out. Simplest solution is don't steal my shit and I won't steal yours. The reason violent and property crime persist the way they do is because there's way too many people who are content to be a victim.

Kinda hard to confront crime if you’re not able to witness it. Most criminals don’t wait for someone to pop their head out before they start stealing lol
