Interesting, Tob and good to hear from you.

Regarding the airfoil patent, my guess would be that if Ford itself is the official "creator," than the design is protected. Far too many attorneys on the payroll not to give them something to do. :-)
Its so hard to comprehend what you are saying, when all I do is stare at your avatar.

Prices vary, someone here found it for $14,000 off ford.

Oh as just so you know Ford throws in free shipping when you order it, like at that point it matters anymore.
How nice of them. I know prices vary by dealer but my dealer cost is something like $15,3xx, and the 26k figure is from Ford's OEC pricing tool. Crazy money for a wing regardless.

Agreed, hence I am seriously considering getting this wing and have my autobody shop put it in and do all the work, cause it will cost me nothing for them to do it since I do all his computer work :)

Ok someone explain something to me, what is the downside (If ANY) to me doing this? I am seriously going to pull the trigger as this guy is making it easier and easier for me to get this. Is there ANY downside to this? :D :D :D Cause if not I am going to call my guy at the Auto Body shop and see if he will do this for me if I get it in Dec. (will obviously wait till spring if I can to have it put on).

I have tried twice to contact them no response so far. Have you had any luck? If you do get a wing would you buy a new trunk lid and paint or just have the old holes filled and then repaint? The only down side is the car is not factory anymore. So I think I would buy a new trunk lid and keep the factory one with factory spoiler so if the car is ever sold you can put original back on.

OK here is some info to digest.

The Autohaus looks like a good copy of an OEM wing with what appears to be the correct looking trunk bracket.
https://www.i-5autohaus.com/product-page/2020-gt500-style-track-pack-spoiler-15-20

The FFperformace is made in China and has the winglets screwed from the outside and has light looking brackets and feeble attachments to the actual wing body. I imagine the wing could collapse due to the high down force in my opinion. Also possible quality issues

@Tomster
I know a guy here that works with CF and has built boats and car parts in CF.
Just to simplify the process I think if you could get an OEM wing 3d scanned then a pattern can be made in a CNC router for a mould to be produced.
Are the winglets and wing made in one piece or are they fused after the wing has been made?

The OEM brackets can be scanned also and CNC milled.

Maybe if you could pull together some orders it could be done and yes I did read your order for the roll cages was a struggle.
I am sure there is a dollar to be made on this item as long it did not infringe on FP.

My 2c worth

I have been in contact with him/them several times. I am speaking to them through Facebook Messenger. I was thinking of filling the holes and putting this in its place than to purchase another trunk lid and go that route. I have no plans to sell the car, and if I did I seriously doubt anyone is going to want it with the base spoiler instead of the CF Wing. Plus if I sold it what on earth would I do with the trunk lid and the wing? For me to even consider another trunk lid it would have to be complete and cheap two things that dont go together.

I-5 looks like the winglets screw in just like FFP, I wouldn't waste my time with Alibaba or Aliexpress items, and like you said QC who knows.

Mine isnt for tracking, its for the look, but at the same time I want it to be functional so when i am going down the highway it doesnt disintegrate. And the one from MPR based on the video looks like its one piece and the brackets look like the "L" shaped on the original.

Most wings will be fine for highway speed. Where you will run into problems is at higher track speeds. The screws holding on the side plates are an instant turn off. In would never do that because it looks fake and in poor taste. If there was a way to hide the side screws and cover them, that might be an option. But for the extra expense, I'd want a one piece structure.

Does anyone know how the OEM is put together?

Mike, I and a lot of others would absolutely prefer the swing spoiler over the CFTP spoiler. Also, if you sold the car, you could easily sell either of the two trunk lids that you were left with. For example, put original trunk lid and spoiler on, and sell the CFTP lid and spoiler. I would think it will sell better than the swing lid and spoiler.

The overall point I wanted to make is, contrary to popular belief, there are many people who chose the base car over the snack pack, self included.

Put the bottle down.....
I’m dead serious.

MOST buyers don’t track. If they did, I could see the reason to get a CFTP. For the people who don’t track, and if money is no object, they will buy based on looks. For me, the swing spoiler looks better. In fact, I don’t like the look of the CFTP spoiler very much. Now, the CF wheels look better than the base wheels, but I am referring to design, not the look of carbon fiber vs aluminum.

Personally I don’t ever run factory wheels on mustangs because the offset leaves a lot to be desired. They always look too sunken in the wheel wells for my taste, so I’m gonna run aftermarket wheels anyway. That, and I would never want to use the CFTP wheels on the street for the fear of damage. Aftermarket wheels either way.

I will say, the only option I did want that is exclusive to the CFTP is the painted stripes. Everything else base > snack pack for me.

Or send it of to shelby for the extra sauce.....
