Auto is best for an 81 year old, end of argument. I hope I’m still driving an enjoyable car when I’m 81. I have every intention to (but I have half a lifetime still to get there) as I’ve never even owned a non-fun car.

How do they sound WOT on track? I’ve heard one on the street and was just kinda meh to me. Definitely has the high pitch, exotic tone to it but not quite Ferrari sound.

it sounds intoxicating.

I’ve heard one under normal street driving conditions and it was just ok. Under full load at high rpm was a different ball game though.

I want to see it head to head with a GTD. Should be fun to see those two around a track.

A current gen Ford GT beats the C8 Z06 pretty handily, I’ll be curious how the ZR1 performs. Not exactly an apples to apples with the GT and Z06, but both are street legal cars even though one is really a race car made street legal.

That IG post says 1,064 hp. Holy crap. I was thinking it’ll be ~900-925 hp twin turbo. Must be twin turbo and hybrid, which unfortunately means it will be very heavy. The eRay is already about 4k pounds…

Would be awesome if it was a supercharged cross plane version of the LT6 instead that revs to 7,000 rpm and made 925 hp.

Yeah that’s nuts! I’ve seen a few reports that it’s expected to be about 600lbs heavier than the GTD. How anyone knows that is beyond me because official weight for GTD hasn’t been released yet that I’m aware of. But that would wipe out some hp advantages
