I did search this site & YouTube. Is the front bumper/fascia removal process any different than a GT and what about the HP wheel lip moldings being an issue/in the way.

Yep, I watched the Video's on line, and basically the same as GT. No the fender lip molding doesn't get in the way as long as they didn't put the 2-sided tape in the Bumper.

The plastic rivets for the splitter will be drilled out, so you'll need those. (FYI, Ford sells them for $7 bucks each and ARE stronger plastic then the ones you can buy for (10) for $20 bucks).

The side wiring harness connector for the bumper lights is super cheap and you could break the clip/pin that allows it to disconnect so be careful. Otherwise way easier the expected.

@WCRookie99 …

Great, thanks……I’m liking your rotors, can’t decide on those or the Steeda’s

Yep both rotors probably ok, I used these because they were the OEM on my BossR and I never had a problem.

Do you have to remove splitter to remove the bumper? I would think you can leave it attached?

You must remove the splitter because of hidden fasteners underneath it that must be removed.

The large plastic belly pan does not need to be removed.

Looks like the red tab slides up to disengage the connector. Try a flat head screwdriver if you can’t get it with your fingers just go easy so you don’t break the tab

On the connector, the red tab is pulled back and the there is a plastic bridge located just in front of where the red tab was that you press down to release the connector shells. It’s sort of like the red tab is the release so you can press down the latch for the connector shells.

If you have an HP the lower splitter has to be removed or you can take the bumper cover off with the splash shield attached. If you do remove the lower splitter, after removing all of the plastic rivets, I would recommend M5 rivet nuts or well nuts and machine screws on the install in case you need to take the lower splitter off again.

You can easily access the two 10mm nuts on each block that attaches the bumper cover to the fender from the top with a deep socket, universal joint or flexible extension and a longer extension.

I am doing my custom splitter and thats exactly what I am going to do, because I will be using same holes as HP lower splitter. Unplugging connectors is always a terrible pain in the ass for me, but it went off without breaking, thank you

I didn't remove the splitter when I pulled my bumper cover off. The cover and belly pan came off together with no issues and went back together no issues.

I highly recommend swapping to rivet nuts if you plan on removing your bumper more than once. Constantly replacing those plastic rivets will get old real fast. Now I can just undo the rivnuts and put them right back with ease. They really should have done it this way from the factory.

Good point! For the HP cars, taking the bumper cover off with the splash shield/belly pan attached avoids all of the plastic rivet removal. I’ll edit my previous post.
