For those who own GT350s titled after Feb 17, please get the bumper gap TSB fix done or get the box of parts from your Ford dealership before the original 3 yr/36K mile bumper-to-bumper warranty expires. I just test drove a 2016 Track Pack and the previous 3 owners failed to get the bumper gap repaired (or get the kit) and now the dealership wants $657 for the kit (part # JR3Z-17N775-A). The gap is heinous. That means you owners of cars titled after Feb 17, and made on or before 26 Feb 18 need to get this done ASAP to spare future prospective buyers the out-of-pocket additional cost of the kit.

Excellent info! I'll opt for the kit

And the sad part is more of those then not that have had it fixed it ends up still having some gap. My 16 had it bad. My 17 had one side bad. After reading all the instructions of that band aid fix kit from Ford I figured they'd screw it up worse and just left them alone. Plus the allotted time Ford gets paid for doing the kit is not as much time as needed so unless you can find a dealership that has successfully got both sides right they more than likely will just rush through it. And the kit instructions says if that doesn't fix it your done. And under warranty they won't give you the kit and let you put the kit in yourself.

Pretty sure there is a person in here who fixed it themselves for little expense and it came out better than the Ford kit.

I did the TSB and the dealership complained afterwards that it took much longer than the allotted hours as stated above. Also, I still had significant gap after, but it appears that the gap has not worsened too much since.

I didn't have this TSB done on my 2016 either. I was worried that it wouldn't end up improving the car, because frankly I didn't trust the dealership to do the work.

Yes and if is found he showed detailed pictures of what he did. And it looked real good. Now whether it held up or started sagging again is another story. I know one guy on here put hidden screws to close his gap but reported some time later that it was gaping again so he gave up.

That was me (there’s two or three of us that did our repair). I’ve got 10,000 miles on my homemade repair, including removing the bumper for an unrelated issue, and mine still looks perfect (knock on wood!!!!). I guess search for my thread on the topic if interested.

But has anyone actually had luck with the dealer just giving you the kit?? I’d think that unlikely, but guess ya never know.

It was my understanding from several posts in the past that the dealership will not give you the kit. That it has to be put in under warranty or you have to buy the expensive bandaid.

My dealer gave me the kit and I installed. Easy to do and looks great.

As many of the newer ones that still have it my guess is either no or it starts sagging again

Thanks for the heads up, I have a week or so left on my 3/36 and just noticed I how bad mine was on both sides https://imgur.com/a/F1jT22u

Hoping they will at least give me the kit since the roads are still salted :rain:
